Wande Temple

Located at the foot of the beautiful Mopan Mountain, Wande temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Jilin City.

Mopan Mountain has long been regarded as a geomantic treasure land by Buddhism and Taoism, but it has experienced ups and downs. During the Zhengde period of Ming Dynasty, a temple was built in Mopan Mountain, which was destroyed by fire in the early Qing Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, "Nine" was rebuilt. It was demolished by the Japanese army after the "18" incident. Japan was rebuilt after surrender and destroyed during the cultural revolution.

Today's Wande temple was built in 1993 and completed in 1996, with a flourishing fragrance.

Wande temple sits in the West and East, with a three entrance courtyard built in the shape of a ladder. The mountain gate is tall and majestic. The plaque of "Wande Temple" inscribed by Mr. Zhao Puchu is hanging above the middle gate. The font is vast and powerful. The first courtyard was built with the second floor of the bell and drum, the heavenly king hall and the left and right veranda. The second courtyard is the main hall, the guest rooms and the five view hall. The third courtyard is the Sutra building and the left and right side halls, in which there is a rare treasure, the original Sutra.

In addition, the temple also has a Dharma protection hall, Yansheng hall, fox fairy hall, monk room and other buildings. Outside the temple, there are hotels and Zen halls. The whole Wande temple is magnificent, solemn and quiet. The sound of morning bell and evening drum is far away. During the ceremony, the temple was filled with cigarettes, the Buddhist music returned to Liang, the sound of scriptures rose and fell, and the sound of wooden fish made the believers worship, which was very devout. The architecture of Wande temple is antique, solemn and elegant. It is a combination of Buddhist architecture in South Asia and classical palace architecture in China. Against the backdrop of the aura of Mopan Mountain, the natural landscape and human landscape are as smooth, harmonious and perfect as fine water. They are unique and just like a fairyland in the world.
