Binjiang Road

Changbin Road, Jiabin Road, Nanbin road and Beibin Road, the four earliest built Binjiang roads, have laid the foundation for the development of Binjiang Road in Chongqing. Extending from these four roads, it will be a "riverside Ring Road" that encircles the main city of Chongqing along the river.

Chongqing City prospered because of the two rivers. However, after Chongqing developed from a wharf city to a diversified one, the two rivers, which used to prosper for the benefit of boats and boats, were abandoned instead, becoming beaches engulfed by Ren River, dilapidated old factories and disordered shantytowns.

From 1988 to 1997, Yuzhong District took the lead in the whole city. After the completion of Binjiang Road, people were surprised to find that along the two rivers, which had been forgotten for a long time, there were such huge commercial, traffic and cultural values. In a few short years since then, various districts in the main city have been building along the two rivers, and a riverside economic belt around the main city of Chongqing has emerged.

There are many cities built along the river in China, which have their own characteristics in building the riverside belt. However, as far as the riverside road is concerned, Chongqing is undoubtedly the first in the country.

Encircle the main urban area of Chongqing

Changbin Road, Jiabin Road, Nanbin road and Beibin Road, the four earliest built Binjiang roads, have laid the foundation for the development of Binjiang Road in Chongqing. Extending from these four roads, it will be a "riverside Ring Road" that encircles the main city of Chongqing along the river.

Connecting with Changbin road is Binjiang Road in Jiulongpo under construction. Jiubin Road, with Zhigang Avenue as the midpoint, reaches huangshaxi in the East, connects with the extended section of Changbin Road, the Second Yangtze River Bridge in the west, and Binjiang Road, which is planned to start construction at the end of this year, and then forms a riverside channel from Chaotianmen to the north end of Yudong Yangtze River Bridge.

It is Niudi road that connects Jiabin road. Due to the complex situation of light rail, bridge and highway intersection at the starting point of Niujiaotuo Road, the design and construction of Niudi road has not been started regularly, but once completed, it will be connected with shabin Road near Hongyan village, forming a riverside channel from Chaotianmen to Ciqikou.

The extension of Nanbin road is under construction. Binjiang Road in Banan District will form a riverside channel from tanzishi to the south end of Yudong Yangtze River Bridge.

Beibin road will open the end of the yu'ao bridge on the 20th of this month. In the future, the road will cross Jiangbei City, continue to extend to Jiangbei Farm, and connect with Binjiang Road in northern New Area, forming a riverside channel from Shimen Bridge to taiyangba in northern New Area.

These channels along the river will be interconnected through the bridges above the two rivers, thus forming a "Ring Road". According to the schedule of Binjiang Road project from various districts, the time for the formation of Binjiang Ring Road in the main city is around 2010.

Chongqing people return to riverside

For Chongqing, the significance of Binjiang Road is not limited to the addition of roads. In the past, the barren land along the two rivers, driven by Binjiang Road, rapidly flourished.

Take Beibin road as an example. In the past, this area was full of heavy polluting enterprises such as chemical plants and paper mills. Some fields and dams were mixed in. At first glance, they thought that it was "not the main urban area of Chongqing". After the completion of Beibin Road, the old enterprises along the river moved to eliminate the pollution, and the land vacated was close to mountains and rivers, becoming a treasure land for real estate developers. According to the information from the development office on the inside of Beibin Road, the land along the line is basically owned. In addition to several built riverside roads, behind each riverside road under construction or planning, it also shows the recovery of a piece of land. Next to Jiubin road is Huangyang new town, and next to Binjiang Road in the northern New District is the most avant-garde and high-grade Jialing River landscape belt in the city.
