Manzhouli, located on the border of Russia and Mongolia, is a port city with rich Russian customs. Its buildings are bright and colorful, and its signboards are mostly bilingual with Chinese and Russian. Golden haired and blue eyed Russians can be seen everywhere. According to statistics, about 3000 Russians come here every day for tourism and shopping (of course, the port is closed during the period of heavy traffic, which is a pity). Manzhouli was originally called "holejin Prague", which means "exuberant spring" in Mongolian. As early as 20000 or 30000 years ago, the ancient human zalainuor people lived and multiplied in the Hulun Lake area (the skull of zalainuor people can be seen in the Museum). Two thousand years ago, the Tuoba Xianbei people came to the Central Plains from here and established the first ethnic minority regime in the Northern Wei Dynasty in Chinese history. In 1901, tsarist Russia built the Dongqing railway, which extended from Siberia railway to China. In October 1902, the railway began to run. Manzhouli became the first station to enter China from Russia. Its superior geographical location makes it the largest inland port city in China. The urban area of Manzhouli is small and exquisite, with a small population of only 300000. The layout of the city still follows the plan of Russian designers in the early 20th century - the east-west, north-south well shaped streets. The railway station divides the urban area into two parts, the south of the railway is called the South District Yidao street, Erdao street and Sandao street in turn Railway North is called one street, two street and three street in North District It's not easy to get lost. In the middle, there is a holjin River, "the villa style and idyllic architectural pattern of the Southern District can still be seen." although it is only separated by a railway line, it is far less prosperous than the northern district.
The museum is located in Sandao street, South District, with a ticket of 20 yuan. This is a well preserved Russian style complex, not far from the railway station. The museum, formerly known as the office building of Manzhouli municipal government, was rebuilt into a museum in 2004, with a total of four exhibition halls: Exhibition of historical relics, exhibition of natural ecology and exhibition of folk culture of ethnic minorities. The exhibition hall of Russian folk customs was newly added in 2008, with more than 1000 pieces of Russian cultural relics and art treasures collected, including Russian medals, metal prints, utensils, coins, and so on Commemorative coins, cigarette boxes, copper tea sets, stamps and so on should be the most comprehensive display of Russian art in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Although Russian handicrafts are sold all over the street, if you look at the museum's collection in advance, you will find a huge difference between them. This is a place where people can forget their return journey. Eurasian civilization is displayed here. Chinese and Russian cultures blend here. Multicultural culture contains tolerant humanistic feelings. The leisurely and exotic life is full of poetic flavor. Chinese and Western cultures coexist harmoniously and nurture a special charm hand in hand. This is the Sino Russian trade and Tourism Zone in Manzhouli, Inner Mongolia.
