In 1910, after the Japanese government officially announced the annexation of Korea, the Bank of Korea law was promulgated in March of the next year, and the Central Bank of Korea was renamed the Bank of Korea. In October 1917, the Bank of Korea set up a branch in Tangyi Road, Qingdao. After the opening, there are three kinds of accounts: daily gold account, silver dollar account and silver account. The three accounts handle deposits, loans, foreign exchange and other businesses of the same industry. Like Yokohama Zhengjin Bank of Japan, Bank of Korea has also issued banknotes in China. It was published in 1916. Mainly concentrated in Northeast China. After the establishment of Bank of Korea Qingdao Branch, seven kinds of gold yuan coupons, commonly known as old man's ticket, were also issued in Qingdao. At that time, the daily necessities in Qingdao were bought and sold with Japanese gold yuan coupons, especially for the bulk transactions between the Japanese. The demand for Japanese gold yuan coupons was very large. Therefore, the number of Japanese gold yuan coupons issued by the Qingdao Branch of Bank of Korea in Qingdao gradually increased. There are four kinds of banknotes: 1 yuan, 5 yuan, 10 yuan and 100 yuan. At the same time, the Qingdao Branch of the Bank of Korea, as a banking institution for overseas Japanese, also developed rapidly in loan business. According to historical records, by 1920, the bank's loan balance had reached 8-9 million yuan.
