Shennongjia is named after the wooden ladder erected by Emperor Yan, the first ancestor of China, who tasted all kinds of herbs. Shennongjia World Geopark consists of five parks, namely shennongding Park, Guanmenshan Park, Tianyan Park, Dajiuhu Park and Laojunshan park. Among them, shennongding Park displays magnificent mountain landforms and typical geological sections; GUANMENSHAN park is dominated by its unique geological museum and rich canyon landscape; Tianyan park is dominated by Canyon and karst landscape; Dajiuhu park is characterized by glacier landscape and alpine meadow; Laojunshan park is characterized by fault structure and water landscape.

The peaks of shennongding, shanmujian, dashennongjia, Dawokeng, jinhouling and xiaoshennongjia in shennongding park are more than 3000 meters above sea level. They are the highest planation surface of Daba mountain range and Shennongjia forest area. They can be called the "roof of central China" and the watershed of the Yangtze River and Hanjiang River. The magnificent subalpine scenery, exotic wildlife, deep mineral resources, moving stories and legends are all fascinating.

Shennong altar is located in Muyu Town, which is the South Gate of Shennongjia tourism. Xiangxi River flows south slowly. Surrounded by green hills, the whole scenic area is beautiful and quiet. The scenic spot is divided into five parts: the main sacrificial area, the ancient botanical garden, the Millennium ancient fir, the butterfly museum, and the chime hall. Tianshengqiao waterfall is pouring down from the cliff, like the Milky way, jade beads splashing, showing all kinds of customs; Tiantan Ditan, clear to the bottom, with a variety of strange stones in the pool, you can travel freely with groups of fish, making you relaxed and happy. Tianyan primitive ecotourism area is located in the northwest of Shennongjia, with a total area of 926.24 square kilometers. It is a primitive eco-tourism area with the background of primitive forest scenery, the connotation of Shennong legend and simple mountain forest culture, and the integration of strange trees, flowers, caves, peaks and folk customs, with the theme of reflecting primitive antiquity and exploring.

Guanmen mountain ecological science popularization scenic spot is located in Guanmen mountain, Muyu Town, Shennongjia provincial tourist resort, beside National Highway 209. It belongs to Shennongjia National Nature Reserve and Shennongjia National Geopark. It is an important scenic spot and out of print scenic spot in Shennongjia, and also an important part of the ecological and cultural tourism circle in Western Hubei. The scenic spot is run through by two roads and a river. There are many mountains on both sides of the river. The trees are luxuriant and block out the sun. The water in the river is gurgling all the year round. The total length is 8km. Along the line, there are typical evergreen broad-leaved forest in north subtropical zone, special geological section of Shennongjia group, ancient stromatolite, beautiful longtouzhai, peculiar underground river and other natural landscapes.

Tianyan scenic area: Swallow Cave, the highest altitude scenic bridge in Asia - Rainbow Bridge, Buddha light in the sea of clouds, Yeren cave, etc. The tourist area is located in the northwest of Shennongjia, with a total area of 926.24 square kilometers. Traffic information: Shennongjia airport is located in Hongping town of Shennongjia Forest Farm, about 50 kilometers away from Muyu Town, the tourist reception center of Shennongjia forest farm. Tourists can arrive directly by plane. In addition, Yichang, Shiyan, Wuhan and other surrounding cities also have buses to Muyu town or Songbai town in Shennongjia. As the frequency and departure time of long-distance passenger transport vary a lot, it is recommended to call before travel.
