Zhongyuan Temple
Zhongyuan cave used to be the practice place of Zhang Sanfeng, the founder of Taoism. If it is true, many special things here may not be surprising: the mountain gate is formed by two huge stones; the ancient tree "yueyueyuegui" in the front yard has not yet been identified by experts, which is very rare; Wangxing tower and monolith Pavilion all use very ingenious architectural techniques: Wangxing tower is not built on a flat ground The base site is built on the conical cliff body, and the foundation of the single column Pavilion is just a wooden column.
history
The Zhongyuan temple was first built in the early Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. The existing buildings, such as the Great Buddha Hall, the Wangxing tower and the six corner Pavilion, are all built in the late Qing Dynasty, covering an area of about 845 square meters. On the lintel of Zhongyuan cave, six huge seal characters of "the first cave in Guizhou" are engraved. The Great Buddha Hall is a double eaves Xieshan style hall. The lower layer is built with brick walls, and the upper layer is carved with railings and window lattice, which is very precise and meticulous. The round arch at the back of the hall is engraved with the word "gradually entering a better situation".
