Yao Qingxiang Memorial Hall
Yao Qingxiang martyr memorial hall, formerly known as Yao Qingxiang martyr's temple, was built in October 1954 by Shandong Provincial People's government and Shandong Branch of resisting US aggression and aiding Korea to commemorate Yao Qingxiang martyr of the Chinese people's Volunteer Army
Yao Qingxiang Martyrs Memorial Hall (formerly known as Yao Qingxiang martyrs Temple) is located in front of yaojiazhuang village, aoshanwei Town, Jimo county. It was built in October 1954 by the people's Government of Shandong Province and the branch of Shandong Province to resist US aggression and aid Korea in memory of martyr Yao Qingxiang, a soldier of the Chinese people's Volunteer Army. Approved by Shandong Provincial People's Government in January 1988, it was listed as a provincial key martyr memorial building protection unit. The memorial covers an area of 3720 square meters. In 1980, the memorial hall was rebuilt and expanded, with a construction area of 246 square meters. A portrait of martyr Yao Qingxiang is hanging in the hall. Pictures, photos and text materials are displayed to introduce the life stories of the martyrs. There are two Memorial pavilions in the hospital. In the center of the courtyard stands a red granite hexagonal monument, 7 meters high. On the top of the monument is carved a dove of peace with its head raised and wings spread. On the front is engraved "monument to martyr Yao Qingxiang, a soldier of peace". Inscriptions are engraved at the back.
