Wuhai botanical garden is located in the north of the city. It is an open urban garden integrating afforestation, viewing, leisure and entertainment. By 2013, Wuhai botanical garden has begun to take shape, receiving 300000 tourists annually.

brief introduction

The botanical garden was started from the original nursery in 2003 and opened to visitors in September 2004, covering an area of 140 hectares. There are 300000 trees and 120 species. It has completed 6.5 hectares of water system, 5 leisure squares, smooth roads in the park, and 3.8 hectares of hardened area in the whole park; 4 entrances, including west gate, South Gate, east gate and north gate, were built in 2010. Xiaolong Lake Recreation Area, Ning Garden, flower area, mulberry garden, shuangting garden, coniferous forest viewing area and broad-leaved forest viewing area have been built. The scenery moves with each step. On the viewing route, there are 100 meter long corridor, peak fire tower, beach flow, waterside pavilion, pavilion, flower rack, sculpture, plank road, fountain, stretch film, etc. The construction of the botanical garden not only realizes the functions of seedling raising, afforestation, scientific research and popularization, but also improves the functions of the open garden for visitors to enjoy, play, entertainment and leisure. According to the principle of plant landscape, it integrates into a variety of natural landscape.

Introduction to scenic spots

Wuhai botanical garden covers an area of 140 hectares, formerly known as Wuhai garden nursery. The planning area of the ecological park is 2100 mu, and the existing green space is 1650 mu, including 225 mu of Chengjing green space. The trees planted in the ecological park include evergreen trees, deciduous trees, flowering shrubs and some sand plants, with 38 species and a total of more than 300000 plants. The trees are planned according to the plot and planted orderly, forming a certain scale of plant landscape. On the basis of giving full play to the existing functions of forest cultivation and scientific research, the botanical garden has built 11 scenic spots and art parks, including coniferous forest viewing area, broad-leaved forest viewing area, flower viewing area, Psammophyte area, Xiaolong Lake Recreation Area, Shaliu Island Scenic Area, Ning Garden, children's fun garden, green sea tea garden, green garden restaurant and Mongolian Daying Gate tower, 100 meter corridor, beacon tower, tanliu, waterfall, Huxin Pavilion and other scenic spots have become a good place for morning exercise and leisure in Wuhai City. Now, the ecological forest area and botanical garden in the northern suburb of Wuhai City have become a green barrier to prevent wind and sand, and also a purifier to improve the air quality of the city.
