Xuejia Island, formerly known as "Phoenix Island", is located in Huangdao District of Qingdao Economic Development Zone on the west coast of Jiaozhou Bay. It is 2.26 nautical miles away from Tuan island across the sea. It is a national tourist resort.

Xuejia island is surrounded by the sea in the East, South and North, with a coastline of 54 kilometers. Golden beach and silver beach are excellent bathing beaches in Qingdao. The golden beach is 3 kilometers long and spreads out in crescent shape from north to south. The beach is flat and fine with small wind and waves. The water color is transparent. Development history

Xuejiadao has a long history. The Warring States period belonged to Lu, the Han Dynasty belonged to Langya County, the Three Kingdoms belonged to Chengyang County, the Sui, Tang and Song Dynasties belonged to Jiaozhou and Mizhou, and the yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties belonged to Jiaozhou. According to Xue's genealogy, when Xue Yulin migrated from Hancheng County, Shaanxi Province in 1369, he was named Xuejiadao because of his family name Xue and the surrounding mountains and seas.

In 1898, the Qing government and Germany signed the Sino German Jiao'ao lease treaty, and Xuejia island was designated as the German concession. On November 7, 1914, Xuejiadao became a colony of Japanese imperialism with Qingdao. In December 1922, the Japanese imperialists returned to Qingdao, and Xuejia island was the Haixi District of Qingdao special city. In December 1942, Xuejiadao was changed into a town directly under the jurisdiction of Jiaozhou District, Qingdao special city. In the autumn of 1944, Xuejia island was returned to Haixi District of Qingdao special city. In August 1945, the coastal troops of the Eighth Route Army liberated Xuejiadao occupied by the Japanese puppet army and established Xuejiadao District of Zhushan County. In December 1945, the Binbei prefectural committee of the Communist Party of China established the Qingdao Haixi Office of the Eighth Route Army, which was under the jurisdiction of Qingdao Haixi office.

In June 1946, Qingdao Haixi Office of the Eighth Route Army was abolished, and Xuejiadao was put under the jurisdiction of Jiaonan county. In September, Jiaonan county was established, and Xuejiadao district was changed to Jiaonan county. Until October 1976, Xuejiadao commune was transferred from Jiaonan county to the newly established Huangdao Revolutionary Committee of Changwei region (a county-level organization dispatched by the region). In January 1979, Huangdao was transferred to Qingdao and Huangdao District was established. Xuejiadao commune was under the jurisdiction of Huangdao District.

In August 1984, Xuejiadao commune was renamed Xuejiadao town. In December 1988, Dingjiahe, haobeitou, haowa, haonantou, Guanting, jiaojiazhuang, Sunjiagou, Hongwei and zhangbaowan villages in the west of Xuejiadao were approved by the Qingdao municipal Party committee and included in Qingdao Economic Development Zone. The 33 villages in the East belong to Xuejiadao Town, which is the status quo. In 1993, the system of Qingdao Economic and Technological Development Zone and Huangdao District was integrated, and in December 1994, Xuejiadao town was renamed Xuejiadao sub district office.

The origin of place names

Xuejiadao is also known as "Phoenix Island". The shape of Xuejia island is really like a Phoenix, so it is called "Phoenix Island".

According to historical records, the place name of Xuejiadao originated from Xue Lu, a cavalry general in Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. Xue Lu, formerly known as Xue Liu, was changed from "six" to "Lu" after he made his fortune. At the beginning of Ming Dynasty, Zhu Di, the king of Yan, launched the battle of Jingnan, and Xue Lu joined the army. In the battle of Zhending, Li Jian, the left Deputy General of Jianwen emperor, was captured alive. After that, he would win every battle. In the battle of shanjiaqiao, because the horse lost his front hoof, he was held by the Marquis of Ping'an. He fought hard to break free, snatched the sword, killed the guard, returned to the battle, and finally defeated the Marquis of Ping'an. Later, he moved to Zhangde and captured the commander Hua Ying alive. After the Ming Dynasty established its capital in Beijing, Xue Lu was granted the title of Fengtian Jingnan Xuanli military minister because of his outstanding military achievements. He entered the kingdom of Shuan, the Ronglu doctor, and was granted the title of marquis Wu of Yang. After Renzong ascended the throne, he was granted the title of crown prince and the seal of zhenshuo's general. Xuanzong Xuande five years (1431), Xue Lu died of illness, Xuanzong himself wrote a memorial. Xue Lu was brave and resourceful. He won every battle with strict discipline. He was good at caressing soldiers and sharing weal and woe. Therefore, his subordinates were willing to serve him. He was a rare commander at that time. After three dynasties, he was the best of all the meritorious officials in Jingnan. After his death, he was buried in his hometown in the southeast of Xuejiadao village. Gao Lei is still standing tall in the forest. Most of the residents on the island belong to the surname Xue, and they are all descendants of marquis Wu of Xue Yang, hence the name of Xuejia island.

Climatic characteristics

The annual average temperature is 12.5oc (winter: 0.3oC, summer: 23oC), the annual average rainfall is 750mm, the climate is humid, the temperature is suitable, and the four seasons are evergreen.

Zhucha Island

Zhucha island and liansan island are scenic islands in the sea area of Xuejia Island, both of which are tourist attractions of Qingdao. Golden Sands Beach

Golden beach, located in Qingdao Phoenix Island tourist resort, will be covered with "Phoenix wings" in 2006. This project has been listed in the fixed assets investment plan of Qingdao Development Zone in 2006. The construction drawing design has been completed and the bidding work is in progress. According to the landscape engineering design scheme of golden beach bathing beach and its surrounding area designed by Aodi International Architectural Design Co., Ltd., the East-West length of the golden beach east wing is 2177 meters, about 260000 square meters, and the surrounding area of the bathing beach is divided into seven landscape functional areas with "Phoenix wings" as the design theme, and the connection with the built area is fully considered. It is planned to be completed within this year After completion, golden beach bathing beach will show the world its graceful new appearance.

Golden Beach Scenic Spot is the most beautiful one on the left wing of Phoenix Island. Located here, the golden beach is known as "the first beach in Asia". The golden beach has clear water, flat beach, fine sand like powder, crescent shaped, stretching from east to west, with a total length of more than 3500 meters and a width of 300 meters.

The landscape project of Jinshatan bathing beach and its surrounding area starts from Jinshatan road in the north, reaches the existing breakwater of Jinshatan in the south, starts from Nantun village in the East and ends at Aucma square in the west, with a length of about 2177 meters from east to west and a land area of 260000 square meters. The scenic spot includes greening, pavement, pipe network, sightseeing plank road, some public facilities and other supporting facilities. The design concept of the project pays attention to the organic combination of human, nature and art. Due to the long and narrow shape of the plot, combined with the texture of Phoenix, the linear composition is adopted, and the landscape footpath is interspersed in the form of wave curve. From west to East, the plot is divided into seven landscape functional areas: charming market, xianglinmeidi, dreamland, fengwuqiulin, jinshabidao, Yanqi shuize and strange rainbow.
