Yangtze Park

Yangzi park is the earliest modern public garden in Yizheng City. It was first built in 1988 and basically completed in 1990. Since then, it has been continuously improved and constructed. Because there is a hill called "tiger" in it, it was originally named Tiger Mountain Park.

Yizheng was called "Yangzi county" during the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and there was Emperor Yang of the Sui Dynasty traveling in "Yanggong". Later, the local government officially named the park "Yangzi Park".

Located at the west end of Renmin Road, the park is one of the most beautiful parks in Yizheng and the pride of Yizheng people. Shengcheng square, the east gate of the park, is now an important open-air square for public activities in Yizheng City.

About the park

To the east of the park is the entrance. In front of the entrance is a stone path. The path is like smooth silk falling to the ground. Walking along the path, there will be a prosperous statue. From a distance, the statue looks very energetic, tall and young under the blue sky and white clouds. Recently, the statue is an old man with a big beard. His curved body is leaning on a very beautiful crutch, which is very simple, honest and kind. Behind the statue is the beautiful Yangtze River. Jinghu Lake is located in the center of the park. It is shimmering and rippling. Boats shuttle on the surface of the lake. Boats are like white clouds floating in the air, and boats are like cotton falling on the blue cloth. There is an island in the middle of the lake, which is beautiful and luxuriant. There are three stone bridges beside the island, which are called "Furong bridge", "nanjinshui bridge" and "beijinshui bridge". West of the park is the children's paradise, where is the world of children, countless children laugh constantly. Here is also a sea of joy, a variety of toys. To the north of the park are the library and Museum. The library is the largest library in Yizheng, with red walls and yellow tiles, which is very grand. The lawn at the south end of the park is far away from the library. Every morning, many people come here for sports and communication.

Scenery in the garden

In the Yangtze Park, there is a mound, commonly known as tiger mountain, which is surrounded by pines and trees. Around the lake, there are rows of weeping willows and green silk reflected in the water; on the Bank of the blue waves, there are pools of fir standing, and the root of the trunk is raised like a spindle, which is a wonder; near the shore, there are reeds, and sometimes there are wild ducks and other waterfowls flying around. There are more than 100 kinds of local common trees and famous flowers in the park. One of them is ginkgo biloba on the former site of Taishan palace in the north, which is 190 years old. The park is a perfect combination of lakes and mountains.

Park statue

At the top of the square at the east entrance of the Yangtze Park sits a statue of Professor Sheng Cheng, an international cultural celebrity from Yizheng,

The monument to Sheng Baisha, his brother, an important follower of Dr. Sun Yat Sen and a naval lieutenant general of the National Revolutionary Army, stands across the lake.

Brief introduction of facilities

Yangtze park facilities improvement project is one of the key projects of Yizheng City in 2006. The project mainly includes three parts: first, the stretch membrane project of swimming wharf. The tensile membrane covers an area of nearly 258 square meters, with 17 tubular piles. Second, the huxinting project was demolished and built. The shape of the new pavilion is antique hexagonal pavilion. The third is the reconstruction project of the northwest corner of the Yangtze park. New roads with a length of 300 meters and a width of 1-3 meters will be built, and an area of nearly 6000 square meters will be afforested to improve the lighting, sanitation and other infrastructure in the road area.

Park Evaluation

With convenient transportation and moderate area, the Yangtze park is a rare "green lung" of the city and a comprehensive cultural and leisure park favored by the public.
