Xizhu Temple
In the history of Yizhou, there was a grand temple called Xizhu temple. According to the eight year edition of Qingyuan Fu Zhi compiled by Yingxiu, governor of Qingyuan in Qing Dynasty, "emperor Huidi of Ming Dynasty traveled to Qingyuan and lived in Xizhu Temple", "Xizhu temple, outside the west gate of the city, was formerly named Ximing.". During the reign of Zhiping (1064-1067), the name was changed to "today". In 1638, when Xu Xiake, a famous Chinese tourist and geographer, visited the temple in Yizhou, he wrote in his travel notes: "Xizhu temple is outside the west gate of the city. The hall is very grand, which is only seen in western Guangdong, but it is also very rare." In spite of its rarity, its architectural scale was still rare in Guangxi at that time. Since the Republic of China, Town God's Temple and many Buddhist temples have been demolished, and the West Zhu temple has not been spared. According to textual research, the former site of Xizhu temple is located on the South Bank of Longjiang River in today's Yizhou City, where the first people's Hospital of Hechi City is now located. Today, Xizhu temple is located in poyan mountain of sanmenyan scenic spot in the northern suburb of Yizhou City, two kilometers away from the city center. Sogou map and Tencent map are all marked as "sanmenyan Temple", while Google map and Bing map are marked as "sanmenyan Temple scenic spot".

He was born in Zhuzhou, Hunan Province. He was a monk in Guangdong Province and graduated from Buddhist College. In June 1999, I traveled here and felt that it was a Buddhist resort! So he made a great wish to build a Thousand Buddhas in poyan mountain. Since 2006, after more than ten years, master Lai Guang has gone through many hardships with craftsmen, such as cutting grass and stone, pulling bricks and tiles, building temples in the mountains and carving Buddha statues in the rocks. Now Xizhu temple has begun to take shape! The main project of the temple has been completed, and a treasure temple in northern Guangxi with splendor and Buddhist music has been built to welcome pilgrims from all over the world.
