Juehua Island

Juehua Island, also known as Chrysanthemum Island, is located more than 10 kilometers southeast of Xingcheng City, Liaoning Province. It is a national AAAA scenic spot and the largest island in Liaodong Bay. It is known as "Buddha island in the north", Putuo Mountain in the South and juehua island in the north.

Tourist island

Juehua island is located in the sea more than 10 kilometers southeast of Xingcheng and 9 kilometers away from the beach. It is a long gourd shaped island with an area of 13.5 square kilometers. The terrain is high in the South and low in the north. The highest altitude is 198.2 meters and the coastline is 27 kilometers long. It is the largest island in Liaodong Bay. The area is similar to that of the Macao Special Administrative Region.

Juehua island has beautiful mountains and rocks, towering ancient trees, Zhangjiashan island and yangjiashan island in the South and Mopan Mountain in the north. There are many places of interest and historic sites, such as dalonggong Temple of Liao Dynasty, Dabei Pavilion of Ming Dynasty, Haiyun temple, Shifo temple, bajiaojing, Tangwang cave, etc. With superior geographical location, elegant environment, verdant trees and fragrant wild flowers, it is a unique place for summer vacation, recreation and recuperation. On the island, there are rare bodhi trees in northern China and bajiaojing with a long history.

In recent years, juehua island has been a popular tourist destination for citizens in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Jilin and Heilongjiang. From June to October every year, a large number of tourists visit the island to enjoy historic sites, beautiful scenery and seafood. In 2010, more than 300000 tourists visited the island. Juehua island has great potential to become an "international tourism island in northern China".

Staff of juehua Island Management Committee introduced that 15 planning and planning teams at home and abroad were invited to visit the island. Finally, the planning schemes of Shenzhen Aiken tourism planning Co., Ltd., Singapore mark Zhang Landscape Co., Ltd. and Zhongliao International Design Institute were selected. The Urban Planning Institute of Tongji University comprehensively absorbed the planning results and prepared the overall planning scheme. The total development of juehua island is 10 million square meters, including 2 million square meters of juehua island and 8 million square meters of artificial island (juehua new town and Lianhua Island). The total investment of the project is estimated to be 50 billion yuan.

Scene 1: Welcome Area of Tianjie

The planning position is catering and leisure area, located in the north of juehua Island, which is the gateway area. Large scale tourism reception and public living facilities are set here to meet the needs of high-density tourism activities. The construction style highlights the classical, exquisite and high-grade island style.

Scene 2: the reminiscent area of Chengyuan

It is planned to be a cultural exhibition area, located in the north of juehua Island, mainly for the construction of tourism service facilities. Taking the ancient historical sites as the center, this area makes full use of the ancient city sites to reproduce the long and dignified epic chapters. Build a cultural exhibition area integrating history, science and education, and leisure.

Scene 3: landscape meditation area

Located in the north slope of the mountain system in the middle of juehua Island, the planning is positioned as a resort residential area, mainly for the construction of resort community and corresponding public service facilities. It is planned to develop into an idyllic resort, which will be the main living area on the island in the future. The planning and design adopts the layout mode of garden city. Through the development of high-density and small-scale neighborhoods, the overall image of the resort manor is completed, and a paradise with beautiful environment and returning to the mountains and forests is built.

Scene 4: Yunding clean body area

It is planned to be an eco-tourism area, located in the middle of juehua island. It is mainly used for sightseeing, with only small landscape and leisure buildings. The area is dominated by tourism activities, and 18 hole international standard golf course is planned and constructed.

Scene 5: Chaeto District, Vatican Palace

It is planned to be a religious pilgrimage area, located in the southeast of juehua island. Buddhist culture is the soul of juehua island. Relying on and reorganizing the original Buddhist tourism resources, we can form a Buddhist pilgrimage base in the north and rebuild the religious reputation of "juehua island in the north and Putuo Mountain in the South".

Scene 6: Huizhi District

The planning position is health resort, located in the southwest of juehua island. Facing the high-end business crowd, the top club is customized, and excellent designers from all over the world are invited to design villa buildings with different styles.

Scene 7: fishing boat singing area

Located in the northwest of juehua Island, it is planned as a cultural convalescent area, relying on the resources of native fishermen's village, reef beach and ancient city ruins. It is planned to be a comprehensive small-scale villa type tourist resort. The design adheres to high-grade and high-grade, reflecting the style of exquisite coastal tourist resort.

Scene 8: Lotus growing on the sea

It is planned to be a resort experience area, which is located on the flat beach about 300 meters west of juehua Island, with a land reclamation area of 6 square kilometers. This area is mainly built with sea resort community, hotel, apartment, resort and independent residence, with proper consideration of mixed development, so as to attract different levels of consumers to live.

In addition, there is juehua new town. The city is located on the West Bank of juehua island. The coastline of Xingcheng is 1km away from the sea, with a planning area of 10 square kilometers. The planning highlights the four elements of "ecology, ocean, fashion and health" to build a fashionable and healthy living area and a leisure and holiday destination far away from the city, forming a city integrating marine culture, leisure sports, Island health, fashion life, theme entertainment, conference and exhibition, etc "Holiday paradise in the north, charming island in the East".

Development start

The Management Committee of juehua Island went to Hong Kong twice to invite investment and promote with many large enterprises to expand the popularity of juehua island in Hong Kong. In the key areas of China, we took the initiative to attract investment and visited nearly 100 enterprises in Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai.

So far, juehua island tourist resort has signed three projects. First, juehua Island signed the project agreement of yacht wharf and yacht club with Hong Kong Yiwan Lusen yacht Global Co., Ltd. Juehua Island start-up area phase I project signed a contract with Jilin Hengrun Real Estate Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 300 million yuan. The development project of juehua island longneck ancient city scenic spot is undertaken by Huludao Cangshi Kewen economic and Trade Co., Ltd., which includes three projects: the construction of historical relics museum, the construction of longneck ancient city scenic spot, and the construction of large-scale ancient ships. The total investment is 245 million yuan, which is planned to be completed in three years. Four projects are under negotiation, including Daming Mountain Architectural Art Expo Park, juehua town and mountain golf sports leisure park, juehua new town and Lianhua Island reclamation, Xinao group tourism real estate and natural gas island.

In 2011, juehua island tourism resort will fully promote the construction of 13 key projects. It includes the Artificial Island reclamation project, the first phase commercial development project of the start-up area, the yacht wharf and Yacht Club project, the development project of the ancient Yingcheng scenic spot in the Ming Dynasty, the road project around the island, the sewage treatment project, the cargo terminal project, etc.

Historical evolution

Juehua Island, commonly known as Daheishan, was called Taohua island in Tang and Song Dynasties and juehua island in Liao and Jin Dynasties. In 1922, Chrysanthemum Island was renamed Chrysanthemum Island because of its blooming wild chrysanthemum. Together with the ancient city and hot spring, it is called "three treasures of Xingcheng". It is one of the indispensable five landscapes of Xingcheng City, including city, spring, mountain, sea and island.

Juehua island is located in the sea more than 10 kilometers southeast of Xingcheng and 9 kilometers away from the beach. It can be arrived 50 minutes after starting from the beach. In 2009, the people's Congress of Xingcheng city passed the draft resolution on renaming in principle. The government of Xingcheng city believes that juehua island has more historical connotation. Juehua Island, a famous tourist attraction in China and a prosperous city, will be renamed juehua island.

On December 17, 2009, the 13th session of the Sixth National People's Congress of Xingcheng city passed the draft resolution of renaming Chrysanthemum Island as juehua island in principle.

"It was renamed juehua island in order to highlight the cultural connotation of the island." Xingcheng municipal government said so in the proposal materials.

In March 2010, Xingcheng juehua island tourism economic zone was listed as one of the 33 key coastal areas in the province for the first time.

On February 22, 2012, according to the spirit of No.2 document of Liaoning coastal office, juehua island tourist resort was officially included in the key parks of Liaoning coastal economic zone. So far, our city has occupied 6 seats in the key parks of Liaoning coastal economic zone. The upgrading of juehua island tourist resort has injected new vitality and vigor into the construction of a strong coastal economic city.

On February 22, 2012, juehua Island Tourism Resort comprehensively straightened out the management system, accelerated the pace of development and opening up of the whole region, and created a beautiful business card for Xingcheng to become a national international tourism and cultural city as soon as possible.

In May 2016, Xingcheng city fully accepted the social and public management functions of juehua island. On June 27, 2016, the 89th Standing Committee of Xingcheng municipal Party committee held the proposal of abolishing the juehua Island Street Party committee and establishing the juehua Island Street Party Working Committee, which re rationalized the management system. Juehua island tourist Resort, as an agency of Xingcheng city government, managed together with juehua Island street and officially returned to juehua island It is under the administrative jurisdiction of Xingcheng city.
