Shiweng Temple

Shiweng temple. Xiuling in the east of Lishan. It was founded in Kaiyuan period of Tang Dynasty. According to the records of Daoli in Liangjing, "there is a spring hanging in the stone urn Valley, which stimulates the stone to form a mortar. It looks like a urn, because the valley is famous for the temple.". The former site is the site of shiweng temple. Note to the poem "jinyangmen": the stone urn temple was built in Kaiyuan and repaired with the surplus materials of Huaqing Palace. There are jade statues in the Buddha Hall. Youzhou entered the temple on the same day as the Pavilion Road statues of the Yuan Dynasty. It is extremely exquisite and the percussion is like a chime. Yu Xiang and Yang Hui's hand sculpture. The void image is made by yuan Jia'er. It can be wonderful, delicate and beautiful. Today's shiweng temple is the site of the old temple of Tang Dynasty. The existing building was built in Qing Dynasty, with front hall and back hall. There are 5 back halls, 3 East chambers have been destroyed, and 3 West chambers have been built. There is an old corridor in the back hall, and there are three Bodhisattvas of the Song Dynasty, and the statues of erhuashi in the back hall.

Shiweng temple is a famous temple in the Tang Dynasty. It can be reached from shiweng valley along Shibapan road in the East. There is a white jade statue of Bodhisattva worshipped in the back hall. The statue is 31 cm high, sitting on a lotus seat with a waist girdle. The head of the statue is disabled, holding a ruler and a Buddha's robe. It is a very exquisite art treasure (the original image of the existing stele forest museum). The mural couplets in the hall are quite elegant and impressive. The ancient cypresses in front of the temple are green and straight, but facing the wind, it's really a quiet place. Shiweng temple is located on Xiuling mountain in the eastern part of Lishan Mountain. It was once a famous temple Fuya temple in the Tang Dynasty. Because of the spring water in the west mountain stream of the temple and the stone dishes, it looks like a urn, so it is named shiweng temple. It is said that during the Kaiyuan period of the Tang Dynasty, the materials left over from the Huaqing Palace were used to repair the temple. The Jade Buddha statues in the hall were transported from Youzhou. It's the same day as the Taoist statue in Laojun hall. It's exquisite and it's like a rock. Today's shiweng temple, the former site of the old temple of the Tang Dynasty, uses the old name of the Tang Dynasty. Sitting in the South and facing the north, there are three front halls, five back halls and three West chambers, all of which were built in the Qing Dynasty. There are three Bodhisattvas in the rear hall, two rib sand stone statues. Shiweng temple is the place where Lishan Buddhism believes. Beside the temple, the mountain is green and vigorous, which is the scenic spot of dongxiuling. Shiweng temple is definitely a good place for "outing" in spring, "summer," enjoying chrysanthemums "in autumn, and" watching snow "in the middle of winter.
