Hongdou villa, formerly known as Biwu villa, is located in Furong Village, Guli Town, Changshu City. It was built in the late Song Dynasty and the early Yuan Dynasty, more than 700 years ago. Gu gengguang, the second son of Shandong Deputy envoy Gu Yuzhu in Ming Dynasty, moved Hongdou tree from Hainan and renamed Hongdou villa. After the manor, the grandson of Gu Yuzhu lived in Qian Qianyi, a famous writer in the late Ming Dynasty. Qian Qianyi is famous for his poems and essays with the famous Jiangnan lady Liu Rushi and their marriage.

According to the introduction, Hongdou villa scenic area will be based on the historical culture of the villa - the love story of Qian Qianyi and Liu Rushi and Hongdou tree as the theme, through the construction of qianliu emotional theme tourist area, Baimao folk song cultural tourist area, love cultural theme tourist area, Buddhist cultural tourist area, wedding cultural tourist area, tourism service area and other six functional areas, with Hongdou villa and Zengfu Chan temple as the core Baimao folk song hall, as the landmark landscape nodes of the scenic area, reshapes the historical charm of banyetang, Wuwen room, furongfang, Jinsui Pavilion, rushexian, chaoyunxuan and other scenic spots, as well as the love landscape nodes of hongdoulin, yuanyangwan, etc., and then connects the scenic spots by 22 bridges of different styles and garden roads of different grades, so as to create a tourist attraction integrating landscape appreciation, leisure and entertainment.
