Yangwan ancient village
Yangwan ancient village is a "natural museum" of folk houses in Jiangnan during Ming and Qing Dynasties.
Yangwan ancient village is located in the south of the Yangtze River. It was built in the south of Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming, Qing and Republic of China. Until the early 1980s, it has been the main commercial port and water transportation Wharf in the southwest of Dongshan. The ancient street is 1461 meters long. There are many dwellings on both sides. The high walls are everywhere. It is simple and quiet. The stone biting roads on both sides of the street are paved with small green bricks, and have different patterns, connecting with the Zhu River There are 28 East-West streets and lanes in the north-south, including Jiaxiang, Juxiang and Liufan lanes. The buildings in Ming and Qing Dynasties were built according to the streets. Among them, the Xuanyuan palace was first built in the early Tang Dynasty, and then rebuilt or rebuilt many times. Professor Chen Congzhou, a famous architect, has determined that the existing main hall of Xuanyuan palace, the court columns, eaves columns, most of the beams, brackets and other wooden structures are relics of the Yuan Dynasty; the color painting in the hall is concise in composition, and the cloud dragon body is vigorous, reflecting the style and characteristics of the early Soviet style color painting.
