Plum blossom Hall

Plum blossom hall was originally located in the bamboo forest of xiaoxiangshan in Zhangjiagang City, Jiangsu Province. It was first built in the Song Dynasty. It is said that Su Dongpo was frustrated in his official career in his later years. At the invitation of his Jiangyin friend Ge, he came to Meihua hall several times to have a good health, and wrote a plaque on Meihua hall. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, Xu Yingxia (Xu Xiake's brother), who was addicted to mountains, rebuilt the plum blossom hall and planted plum blossoms and bamboos on the mountain. On the night of the clear wind and bright moon, Xu Xiake and his brothers enjoy the beautiful scenery. Xu Xiake did not forget this meaningful life experience. He wrote five poems and a long preface as a memorial. With the passage of time, by the late 1950s, the plum blossom hall and the xiyanchi had disappeared, and the plum blossoms were gradually scarce.

In recent years, the municipal and town governments have taken measures to develop Xiangshan tourism resources, and meihuatang and xiyanchi are included in the tourism development plan. The new plum blossom hall is a collection of five antique buildings. The theme of the main hall is written by Dongpo. There are paintings and poems by Po Weng and Xu Xiake in the hall, so that tourists can be influenced by Chinese civilization from sightseeing.

Although the historical celebrities and plum blossom hall in Xiangshan are hard to find, the plum blossom hall, which was rebuilt in the spring of 2005, stands on the top of Xiangshan with its simple shape and quiet atmosphere. Now it is open to visitors from all over the world.

In front of the plum blossom hall, looking up, you can see a horizontal plaque with black background and gold characters hanging above the main gate. The plaque reads "plum blossom hall", and the signature is "Meishan sushi". There are couplets on both sides of the gate. Before you enter the hall, you will feel extraordinary.

Entering the front hall, there is a screen in the middle and behind, and a plaque above, which reads "fragrant jade". The dark red pillars on both sides are engraved with a pair of couplets, all of which are the words and sentences in Xu Xiake's five poems about xiaoxiangshan plum blossom hall. In front of the screen, there is a picture of Xu Xiake. On the base, there are words about the origin of Xu Xiake and Xiangshan. Below, there are two rows of antique mahogany chairs and tea tables. On the walls of the East and the West are Su Shi's huichong's Chunjiang evening scenery, Xu Xiake's HeXiong rhyme sentence, Yang Mingshi's Xiangshan nostalgia and other famous poems describing the scenery of Xiangshan. The characters are made from the soil of Yixing's purple teapot, which is simple and precious. Mao Zedong's words "I really want to learn from Xu Xiake" were engraved on the back of the screen, which made people awed.

Entering the back hall, the scenery is different from that of the front hall. There are also screens, plaques, couplets, mahogany tables and chairs, tea tables and so on in the middle and back of the hall. But what is quite different from the front hall is that the back hall is mainly composed of paintings, and there are dozens of palace lanterns hanging, which is very solemn and elegant. On the screen is a large relief, introducing the main attractions of Xiangshan. On both sides of the walls, there are several sketches: the painting of Wu Fei picking incense, the painting of Dongpo banquet, and the painting of listening to the song chanting wind. It can be seen that Xiangshan has a deep relationship with historical celebrities. After reading these pictures, I believe that every tourist will feel a deep love and pride for Xiangshan. On the back of the screen is the preface of Xu Xiake's "five poems about xiaoxiangshan plum blossom hall" written by the famous calligrapher Mr. Lin Zaicheng.

There is another cave behind the plum blossom hall. There is also a plaque under the back eaves, and there are couplets on both sides. The couplets are poems in Su Dongpo's Hongmei, which echo the couplets in the front hall. There is also a platform behind the house, about 40 square meters, wooden, guardrail, under a pond, rippling water. Standing on the platform, you can overlook the Yangtze River.
