Jiangning Museum
Jiangning museum is a national three-level Museum. It is the earliest district level museum in Nanjing. It was founded on May 6, 1958 and is located on the Bank of Qinhuai River (No. 88, Zhushan Road, Jiangning District), Zhushan Park, Dongshan Town, Jiangning city.
Jiangning museum is composed of Qianqiu Jiangning, Fengliu Dongjin, peijiatong calligraphy and painting Museum and a temporary exhibition hall, with a collection of more than 3000 pieces.
In 2008, the Eastern Jin historical and cultural museum and Jiangning museum were built at the same site. The new Museum covers an area of 17.8 Mu and a building area of 7480 square meters. On September 28, 2011, the new museum was officially opened.
Collection
Jiangning Museum (Museum of the Eastern Jin Dynasty of China) is located on the Bank of waiganghe River in Zhushan Park, Dongshan street, Jiangning District, Nanjing city. The main building is an antique building, standing in the green water and green mountains, with a very elegant environment.
There are many cultural relics and historic sites in Jiangning. There are 66 cultural relics protection units announced by governments at all levels, which is also a major cultural relic area in China. Since the founding of the people's Republic of China, nearly 10000 pieces of cultural relics have been unearthed from ancient sites and ancient tombs in the territory, such as the famous skull fossil of "Nanjing ape man", the celadon lotus statue of the Southern Dynasty, celadon beast statue, the relic vase of the Tang pagoda underground Palace of HongJue temple, the court music and dance figurines and tomb gods and beasts unearthed from the two tombs of the Southern Tang Dynasty, the blue and white plum vase with the pattern of "chasing Hanxin under the moon" in the late Yuan Dynasty, the underglaze red plum vase of the Ming Dynasty, and the drunk agate cup, etc It's called national treasure. Most of them are now kept in Nanjing Museum and Nanjing Museum.
Jiangning Museum (East Jin Museum of China) now has more than 2000 pieces of cultural relics, including bronze franc of the Western Han Dynasty, Niuniu tripod of the Western Han Dynasty, jade Bi of the Han Dynasty, painted lacquer bowl of the Han Dynasty, land purchase certificate of the first year of Tiance of the eastern Wu Dynasty, mirror of Buddha of the eastern Wu Dynasty, chicken head pot of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, frog shaped water bowl, blue glaze porcelain pillow of the Song Dynasty, Tongquan of the Yuan Dynasty, and glazed architecture of the Ming Dynasty. These cultural relics vividly reflect the creation and living scenes of the people in Jiangning. They are the vivid teaching materials for our patriotic education, history and art education. Many of Jiangning's cultural relics are unearthed in xiaodanyang, Hushu, moling, Shangfang, Jiangning and the areas near the suburbs of Nanjing. They show that these modern market towns used to be county-level administrative centers of different dynasties in history. A large number of cultural relics of past dynasties are still preserved, which is the key area of Jiangning museum's future work.
The museum also pays great attention to the collection of modern and contemporary art works, especially the collection of works of Jiangning local art talents. On July 1, 1997, when Hong Kong returned to the motherland, the Museum organized a special calligraphy and painting exhibition to celebrate the return of China, and collected some exhibits at the same time.
The museum attaches great importance to the public exhibition of its collections, so that museum resources can be shared with the society. The Jiangning historical relics exhibition in the museum is open all the year round, and the exhibits are adjusted and updated from time to time. The temporary exhibition hall also holds art exhibitions of calligraphy and painting. In 1995, the Propaganda Department of Jiangning District Party committee designated the museum as a "patriotic education base".
In 2011, the new Jiangning museum was completed. The new museum focuses on displaying nearly 100 ancient tombs of the Eastern Jin Dynasty excavated in Shangfang Town, Jiangning District in recent years. It shows the life style of the people in the Eastern Jin Dynasty in an all-round way. There is also a 4D cinema "Feishui battle" in the museum, so that visitors can experience the famous battle of winning more with less.
Jiangning museum is strengthening the collection of cultural relics and related research work, so as to make full use of this elegant cultural place, make it a window and position to display Jiangning's historical and cultural features and reflect Jiangning's contemporary construction achievements, and play a more active role in the construction of Jiangning's material civilization and spiritual civilization.
Development history
Jiangning museum was founded on May 6, 1958. At that time, it was named Jiangning County Museum.
On May 5, 1992, Jiangning County Museum built a building (now called old museum) on the west side of Zhushan park.
It was completed and opened on August 18, 1993.
In April 2007, Jiangning District Museum was located in the east of Zhushan park to build a new museum.
In February 2008, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of cultural relics approved the construction of the East Jin historical and cultural museum and Jiangning Museum at the same site. The new Museum covers an area of 17.8 mu, with a construction area of 7480 square meters.
On February 1, 2008, Jiangning District Museum opened to the public free of charge.
On September 28, 2011, the new museum of Jiangning District was officially opened.
In 2013, Jiangning District Museum was awarded the second batch of national third-class museums.

As the first museum of history and culture of the Eastern Jin Dynasty in China, the museum focuses on building a brand of history and culture of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, focusing on the history and culture of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and the allusions of people. Exhibition display
The whole new Jiangning museum is composed of Jiangning Museum, which fully reflects the 500000 year history of Jiangning, and the first East Jin historical and cultural museum in China, which comprehensively reflects the history and culture of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and figures. There are three fixed exhibitions, Jiangning, Fengliu Eastern Jin Dynasty and Pei Jiatong painting and calligraphy exhibition. There are more than 3000 cultural relics on display, including 8 national first-class cultural relics, There are 42 second-class cultural relics and more than 800 third-class cultural relics, involving more than 20 categories such as jade, bronze, porcelain, calligraphy and painting. All kinds of exhibitions in the exhibition hall are supplemented by detailed pictures, 3D holographic images, 4D multi-function cinema and other modern high-tech means to show Jiangning's long history and civilization, unique regional customs and achievements of modernization construction from all directions and angles.
The exhibition of Qianqiu Jiangning is divided into eight units: "the beginning of Nanjing people", "the land of the lake is ripe and the world is full", "Jiangning, Jiangning", "Six Dynasties art", "NIUSHOUSHAN and niutouzong", "Yuefei and Qinhui", "the place of the capital" and "cultural relics". It comprehensively displays Jiangning's long history, unique cultural features and diverse cultural landscapes with strong brushwork. With a winding river about 118 meters long, the exhibition hall organically connects eight units with a total area of 734 square meters. Its water flow is processed by 3D imaging technology, presenting a kind of flowing smart and dynamic. The audience can follow the gurgling water for a 500000 year long historical and cultural tour of Jiangning, starting from the relief wall built in the preface hall. Unit 1 "the beginning of the Nanjing people" echoes an oil painting called "the call of the Nanjing people" with the restored skulls of the "Nanjing people". The animal fossils unearthed from the huludong cave in Tangshan are displayed on both sides, arousing the audience's infinite reverie about the origin of the Nanjing people. The second unit "Lake soil is ripe and the world is full" brings the audience to the Neolithic site represented by minmiao site more than 4000 years ago and the Hushu cultural site more than 3000 years ago. The scene restoration of "work at sunrise and rest at sunset" in the exhibition hall makes people feel the heartbeat of Hushu culture ancestors. The third unit "Jiangning, Jiangning" mainly shows the history and culture of Jiangning from the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Six Dynasties. In the exhibition hall, different types of exquisite cultural relics such as niuniuding, hushou Sarcophagus, horseshoe shaped lacquer box and big jade Bi are highly praised. The real highlight is the electronic sand table model of fangshandai water conservancy. The sand table model shows the construction of fangshandai and ships passing through it through 3D image projection The process of the construction and the busy scene on the Bank of the dam make people respect this great water conservancy project more than 1700 years ago. Unit 4 "art of the Six Dynasties" focuses on the colorful cultural relics of the Six Dynasties represented by the epitaphs and ceramics unearthed in Jiangning. Unit 5 "NIUSHOUSHAN and niutouzong" focuses on the erection of Buddhism in Jiangning area from Sui and Tang Dynasties to Ming Dynasty, and the grand occasion of Niutoushan, a branch of Zen Buddhism in NIUSHOUSHAN and zutangshan areas in Tang Dynasty. The electric control glass projection in the exhibition hall makes the audience feel like an ethereal fairyland of Buddhist palace. Unit 6 "Yue Fei and Qin Hui" focuses on the historical legend of Jiangning in the song and Yuan Dynasties through the stories of Yue Fei and Qin Hui, two famous historical figures with different origins in the early Southern Song Dynasty. In the exhibition hall, there are not only objects represented by porcelain pillows, inlaid with Malachite gold-plated copper belt ornaments, but also models and pictures of Yue Fei's resistance to gold in NIUSHOUSHAN and Qin Hui's family cemetery in Mulong, so as to achieve the goal To the combination of virtual and real, dreamlike effect.
