Tai'an hot spring

Tai'an hot spring area is located on the Bank of Wenshui stream in Jinshui village, Tai'an township. In addition to Tai'an hot spring at its source, it also includes Tenglong hot spring and Hushan hot spring. Tai'an hot spring area was developed in the Japanese occupation era. It was originally called "Shangdao hot spring". In 1979, Mr. Jiang Jingguo visited the area and changed its name to "Tai'an hot spring".

The hot spring source of Tai'an hot spring is located in Jinshui village, Tai'an township. The word "Jinshui" means "boiling hot water" in Hakka, so the local people use the name "Jinshui" to show tourists that this place is a hot spring.

Traffic information

Self driving: "national highway" No.1: from Miaoli interchange road to the expressway, via Dahu lake, through Wenshui, turn left to Tai'an Industrial Road to Hushan.

Take mass transportation: take the passenger transport from Miaoli to Dahu in Hsinchu, then take the passenger transport from Wenshui to Qing'an in Hsinchu, then take the passenger transport from Qing'an checkpoint, rent a car or walk into the hot spring area.

In 1908, dulaigainu, the leader of dabili society, a Taiya aborigine, discovered the source of hot spring in the upper reaches of Wenshui River and the northern foot of niaozishan in Miaoli County. It has been 100 years since then. After 100 years of development, it has become a well-known hot spring in Tai'an. The hot spring hotel is built near the mountain and has become a popular hot spring scenic spot in China.

Two years after the discovery of the source of Tai'an hot spring, the Japanese colonial government set up a "police sanatorium" here in 1910 for Japanese police and their families. After the restoration of Taiwan, it was taken over by the police and renamed "Tai'an hostel" and later "Jinguang villa". In the 1980s, due to the limited use of police and their families, it was changed to meet the needs of the national tourism market Camp policy, open to general visitors.

It is said that Wenshui Valley is located in the north of the area, which is in the shape of a peninsula. The Japanese call it "Shangzhi island", so the hot spring is called "Shangdao hot spring". Because of its back to Hushan mountain, Huang Jie, former provincial president, renamed the hot spring "Hushan hot spring". In 1959, typhoon glori invaded Taiwan, and the stream surged. In addition to the source of "Shangdao hot spring", other hot spring sources in the upper reaches of Wenshui River were submerged.

In 1978, the then Premier Jiang Jingguo visited Tai'an Township and changed Hushan hot spring into "Tai'an hot spring". The source of the hot spring is located on the hillside to the east of Shuiyun villa. It takes about half an hour to walk up the stream from the villa to the source.

Because the spring cave is high, the spring source gushes out along the cracks of sandstone in the shale, and the spring water can flow to the villa through the diversion pipe. Moreover, the water source is rich, and the water is clear and transparent all the year round. The water temperature is about 40 ℃, and the highest spring temperature is about 62 ℃. The spring quality is weak alkaline sodium bicarbonate spring. There are several historic hot spring strongholds in Tai'an, such as Hushan hot spring, Tenglong hot spring and Jinguang hot spring The mountain villa is transported by pipeline, using Tai'an hot spring water.

At present, Tai'an hot spring is mainly used in hot spring hotels, hotels and B & B. after a hundred years of development, it has flourished. At present, there are many hot spring hotels and B & B built near the mountains, each showing its own customs. Some of them emphasize the concept of minimalism and use Xiao nanmu to present the Tai'an Guanzhi hot spring club which is integrated with nature; the sunrise hot spring hotel which is based on the style of Li Dao Nanyang and Japanese simple Zen; the Tenglong mountain villa which is integrated with physical training; and the Jinguang mountain villa which is noble but not expensive and enjoyed by the common people, which presents the diversified hot spring style.

Lin Zhenfeng, director of international culture and tourism of Miaoli County, said that after a hundred years of vigorous development, Taian hot spring hotels and hotels have reached a considerable scale. Among the hot spring areas in the Western Corridor of Taiwan, the transportation of Taian hot spring is the most convenient. From the gaomiaoli overpass in Zhongshan, through the East-West express road of longwenshui after line 72, you can get there in half an hour's drive.
