Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park is located in DARONGSHAN, Beiliu City, Guangxi Province, 46 kilometers east of the north of Yulin City, and 324 National Highway, covering an area of 2930 hectares. Lianhuading, the main peak, is 1275.6 meters above sea level. It is affected by the subtropical monsoon climate. Its climate is characterized by fog in spring, cool in summer, cool in autumn and dry in winter. It has different scenery in four seasons. The vegetation types are tropical monsoon rain forest and tropical desert.

In December 2003, it was approved as a national forest park by the State Forestry Administration.

In 2016, it was rated as a national 4A scenic spot.

In order to give back the noble medical ethics and selfless dedication of the medical workers, Yulin culture, radio, television, sports and Tourism Bureau proposed to the scenic spots of the whole city. The scenic spots of the whole city implement the free visit policy for all medical workers in the whole country.

Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park is located in the hinterland of DARONGSHAN mountain, in the southeast of Guangxi, adjacent to western Guangdong, and bordering Gaozhou, Huazhou and Xinyi City of Guangdong Province. It is 40 km away from Yulin City and 220 km away from Nanning city. Its geographical location is 110 ° 21 ′ 16.39 ″ E and 22 ° 47 ′ 20.99 ″ n. The Park covers an area of 4825.0 hectares.

Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park is 1275 meters above sea level. It is the highest mountain in Southeast Guangxi. From the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain, we can see the whole process of plant evolution.

The forest coverage rate of Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park is 92.5%. The original vegetation is evergreen broad-leaved forest in the northern tropical mountains, and now most of it is replaced by artificial forest. With the elevation rising, the forest vegetation types of the park change orderly. The main scenic spots are Cryptomeria fortunei landscape forest, wild Rhododendron forest, alpine dwarf forest, alpine meadow, etc. Cryptomeria fortunei landscape forest is distributed above 700 meters above sea level, covering an area of 499 hectares. The community is emerald green all the year round. Alpine dwarf forests are distributed at an altitude of 800 m to 1276 m, covering an area of about 800 hectares. The trees are low and curved, with low branches, continuous crown and staggered roots. Alpine meadow, concentrated in more than 1000 meters above sea level on the top of the lotus, the growth of a contiguous meadow.

As of 2014, there are 357 species of plants in Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park, including 23 species of plants under national protection; there are camellia, Amentotaxus, Alsophila spinulosa, Lithocarpus, Shilan and other national rare protected plants. There are also wild jujube forest, wild bamboo forest, wild banana forest, shanlongan, shanlitchi, shanhuangpi, shanstrawberry, fig and so on.

Water landscape resources

As of 2014, DARONGSHAN Forest Park is rich in water resources. There are 14 Shantang reservoirs, hundreds of streams and dozens of waterfalls. The most spectacular is Lianhua waterfall. The main scenic spots include Lianfeng waterfall, Gaoshan Pinghu, the source of Nanliujiang River, meiquan Yuye, etc. Lianfeng waterfall has nine falls with a drop of 520 meters. There are three alpine Pinghu at an altitude of more than 1000 meters, namely dalianchi, xiaolianchi and Tianhu.

Animal resources

As of 2014, there are 180 species of wild animals in Guangxi DARONGSHAN National Forest Park, including 22 orders, 61 families, including wild boar, Huang Qiong, bison, etc. There are a number of first and second class protected animals in China, such as the chickbeaked turtle.

JIUPU Valley

JIUPU Valley is a valley composed of many waterfalls. It is located in the Longmen scenic area of Darong. It takes about 10 minutes to drive and 30 minutes to walk. With an altitude of more than 300 meters and a total length of 3 kilometers, it is a corridor of primitive ecological valley.

Longmen Scenic Area

Longmen scenic area is located near the entrance of the scenic area. There are Alsophila Valley Resort Hotel, B & B cottage and health restaurant for catering and accommodation. There are hot spring resort manor, forest tourism reception center, Green Island Resort Villa, Shanshui tea manor, Red Wine Manor, feifeng mountain health garden, warm Lake Bay, Huxin Island, etc.

Tianhu scenic spot

Tianhu scenic spot is about 9 kilometers away from the entrance of the scenic spot, about 30 minutes by car. Tianhu scenic spot is located in the middle of Darong mountain range, with an altitude of more than 800 meters and a total area of more than 10000 mu. The main scenic spots are: Christmas forest, natural pasture, wild tea garden, European valley.

Lotus scenic spot

Lotus scenic spot is the core of Darong mountain, about 16 kilometers away from the entrance of the scenic spot, 50 minutes by car. Lotus scenic area is located in the area of Lotus Mountain, the main peak of Darong mountain, with an area of 1247 square kilometers and an average altitude of 1000 meters. The most distinctive scenic spots in the scenic spot are: European scenery, the first peak in Southeast Guangxi, lotus waterfall, the source of Nanliujiang River, windmill array, high mountains and valleys, Tianquan lotus pond, southern Xiyue Fengchan terrace, ancient battlefield sites, etc.

From 2010, the first phase investment is 40 million yuan (total investment is 600 million yuan), responsible for the development, operation and management of Guangxi Yulin DARONGSHAN National Forest Park tourism project.
