Traffic information

Shuttle Bus

At present, there are only shuttle buses from Baiyin City and Jingtai county to Shilin scenic spot. Other cities need to transfer to Baiyin or Jingtai. Baiyin Shilin: there is a bus to Longwan village at 16:30 every day. The ticket price is 18 yuan. It takes about 2 hours and the return time is 7:30 every morning. Jingtai Shilin: a bus arrives at the gate of Shilin scenic spot at 9:30 every day. The ticket price is about 15-20 yuan. It takes about 2 hours and the return time is 15:30 every day.

Charter a car

Chartered car from Baiyin: 75KM one way, the price of the car is about 300 yuan.

Charter from Lanzhou: one way about 150 kilometers, package car day round-trip price about 500 yuan, two days price about 800 yuan.

Scenic spot information

Shilin scenic spot is adjacent to Longwan meander of the main stream of the Yellow River in the north and continuous erosion hills in the south. The Yellow River flows through the scenic spot from east to west.

Stone Forest scenic area covers an area of 34 square kilometers, including 10 square kilometers of stone forest area.

The geographical coordinates of Shilin scenic spot are 103.33 '- 104.43' e, 36.43 '- 37.38' n, and the altitude is 1340-1600 M.

Shilin scenic spot was approved as a national geopark by the Ministry of land and resources in January 2004.

Form characteristics

The Yellow River stone forest was formed in the Cenozoic quaternary early Pleistocene 2.1 million years ago. Due to the crustal movement, weathering, rain erosion and other geological processes, it has formed a variety of stone forest landforms with yellow glutenite as the main form.

In the scenic area, the cliffs are flying in the sky, and there are thousands of sceneries. The peaks and paths turn, and the sceneries change step by step. The Yellow River Stone Forest Scenic Area skillfully combines the Yellow River, stone forest, desert, Gobi, oasis, farm and other resources. The scenery is dependent on each other, and the dynamic and static are combined, which is magnificent. The Yellow River stone forest was formed at the end of tertiary and the beginning of Quaternary four million years ago. Due to the Yanshan movement, the rise of the earth's crust, the undercutting of the river bed, the weathering, the rain erosion and the gravity collapse, the stone forest landform with yellow brown river lake facies glutenite as the main landform was formed. In the scenic area, the steep cliffs are flying in the sky, with various shapes, peaks and turns, and the scene moves in thousands of steps. Stone pillars and stalagmites are generally between 80 and 200 meters. According to the expert's investigation and evaluation, the stone forest of the Yellow River can be called a natural wonder of China and has great tourism development value. There are as many as eight gullies in Shilin scenic area. Under the strong uplift of the earth's crust, the Yellow River Valley forms a deep canyon, which widens the valley continuously. Local weak and light layers cut down rapidly under the action of water and gravity, forming a large number of stone peaks and pillars along both sides of the valley. To the top of Shoulu mountain, you can visit Yongtai City, the ancient city of Ming Dynasty.

Jingtai Yellow River Stone Forest scenic area is composed of high-grade natural tourism resources. It is a big city with natural scenery in the East, West, North and south. It is rare in China and unique in the north. Because of its unique shape, large scale and superior combination of scenic spots, it can be called "Chinese natural wonders".
