Yu Youren memorial hall is located in Sanyuan County, at the entrance of the west side of the West Third Class I highway. In 1992, Sanyuan people from all walks of life, units, Taiwan Standard Cursive society, Japan's Takasaki Calligraphy Association and other circles raised funds to build "Shaanxi yuyouren Memorial Hall". Mr. Yu Youren, a native of Sanyuan, is a democratic revolutionist, an old man of 1911, a famous patriotic poet and the founder of Chinese standard cursive script. Profile

Yu Youren was born in Sanyuan, Shaanxi Province. He was a veteran of the 1911 Revolution, a democratic revolutionist, an educationist, a famous patriotic poet, and also a master of calligraphy. He was known as the "contemporary sage of grass". Chairman Mao Zedong once recognized Yu Youren as an old calligrapher. All his life, he loved the motherland, the people and his hometown. He promoted water conservancy, built farms, ran schools, and protected the national cultural heritage. He was highly respected at home and abroad. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, he failed to return to the mainland from Taiwan. After his death, he was buried in Taiwan. Yu Youren's looking at the mainland: "bury me on a high mountain, looking at my hometown. Hometown is invisible, never forgotten. Bury me on the high mountain, look at my mainland.
