Fengxiang County Museum
Fengxiang County Museum is located in the East Lake of Fengxiang County, Shaanxi Province. The museum was established in 1959, under the Cultural Bureau of Fengxiang county. Fengxiang County Museum was established in the "Su Gong Temple" on the North Bank of East Lake in Fengxiang county. It was withdrawn in 1962. In July 1982, the "Yongcheng cultural relics management office of Fengxiang county" was established. In May 1984, Fengxiang County Museum and Yongcheng cultural relics management office of Fengxiang county were restored.
Development history
The museum was established in 1959, under the Cultural Bureau of Fengxiang county.
The Fengxiang fine cultural relics exhibition project, which took two years, has been fully completed and officially opened to the public on September 1, 2012.
In 1978, one exhibition room, seven buildings and one original monument room were built. In 1981, a cultural relics warehouse was built, with a practical area of 100 square meters. In August 1978, a trial exhibition was held, showing 310 cultural relics from the primitive society to the end of the Qing Dynasty. In October 1984, a special exhibition of cultural relics unearthed from Tang tombs in the suburb of Fengxiang was held, displaying more than 270 cultural relics.
architectural composition
With a total investment of 1.5 million yuan and a display area of 450 square meters, the project adopts new scientific and technological display means such as metal display cabinet, wax scene, multimedia, sculpture, electronic book flipping and language guide system. Taking the 6000 year history of civilization as the main line, the exhibition is divided into two parts: "a gathering of people and culture, the source of Zhou and Qin Dynasties" and "the capital of Han and Tang Dynasties, the Pearl of Xifu". 294 pieces of representative historical relics are displayed. The exhibition's opening to the outside world makes the audience appreciate the charm of Fengxiang and carry forward its history and culture
Collection
The museum has a collection of 4000 pieces. Fengxiang county is the location of Yong, the former capital of the pre Qin Dynasty. It was founded 294 years ago in the 19th Duke of the pre Qin Dynasty. Therefore, many relics of the pre Qin Dynasty were unearthed here. There are also many cultural relics in the collection, such as copper building components, pottery building materials, waterways, tiles, tube tiles, tiles and bricks unearthed from Yongcheng site. Among the bronze wares unearthed from Gaowang temple, there is a bronze pot inlaid with banquet and hunting patterns. The pot body has four parts: the first part is the painting of shooting at Gaotai, the second part is the painting of shooting birds on land and water, and the third part is the painting of hunting and fighting animals. There are 88 people of all kinds and 143 images of birds, animals, fish and turtles in the picture. The image is vivid and exquisitely made, which is of great value to the study of smelting, casting and inlaying technology in the pre Qin period.
