Quality and technical requirements
Specific mode of production
(1) Origin selection
Lavender likes fertilizer, light and loose soil, avoids waterlogging and is not tolerant to heavy saline alkali. The plot with medium fertility, organic matter content more than 1% and salt content less than 0.2% should be selected. The plot with heavy viscosity and high groundwater level is not suitable for planting because of poor plant growth.
(2) Selection of improved varieties
Requirements for improved varieties: Huocheng lavender is a local improved hybrid variety 74262, xdt-05, etc.
(3) Sowing and cutting seedling
① Seed reproduction and small seed of lavender have strict requirements on soil preparation.
② Cutting propagation: generally, in early November, take one-year-old stout branches without buds in the field. When cutting in the same year, the cuttings are 15 cm long and vertically inserted into the field, with a depth of 10 cm, a row spacing of 35-30 cm and a plant spacing of 8-10 cm. After cutting, irrigate water in time. Ensure the humidity in the field.
(4) Reasonable planting
① Land preparation: before planting, the land should be integrated into a state of waiting for sowing, with sufficient base fertilizer, mainly farmyard fertilizer.
② Generally, the spacing between plants and rows is 80 * 80 or 80 * 100 cm.
(5) Rational fertilization
In the early stage of returning to green, combined with watering, 300-400 kg organic fertilizer, 15-20 kg urea and 20-30 kg diamine were applied per mu. Dig the ring hole 8-10 cm deep by hand, 10 cm away from the side of the seedling, and apply the mixed fertilizer to cover the soil. Fertilizer was applied alternately on both sides of the plant every year. Before the first bud, 2 to 3 times of the top dressing should be applied, and 300 grams of urea, 200 grams of potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 40 to 50 grams of water should be applied to the mu.
(6) Timely irrigation
According to the characteristics that lavender needs more water in the early and middle stages and moderate water in the late stage, sufficient water supply should be ensured before turning green, budding, heading to the beginning of flowering to avoid drought. Generally, water for 4 times from turning green to harvesting and for 6-8 times in the whole growth period. Border irrigation is suitable. Appropriate irrigation 15 days before harvest can delay the calyx abscission of lavender. After the flowers are harvested, they should be irrigated in time to promote the normal growth of plants. Watering before freezing is beneficial to overwintering safely.
(7) Ploughing and weeding
In order to improve soil temperature, eliminate weeds and maintain soil moisture and permeability. During the growing period, soil loosening and weeding were carried out 5-6 times with the depth of 8-10 cm. It should be combined with watering, watering once and loosening once. Mechanical tillage should be advocated in seedling stage with the depth of 12-14 cm. Before harvesting, the weeds should be pulled 1-2 times to ensure that there are no weeds in the field.
(8) Pest control
In summer, when there was high temperature and rainfall, and high humidity in the field, the plants were easily infected by Fusarium avenae, leading to wilting and death. In the early stage of the disease, 50% tolbutine methyl 500-800 times solution was used to spray. The insect pests of ant and mole cricket were controlled by irrigating roots with 800-1000 times 50% phoxim per mu.
(9) Timely harvest
When 50-60% of the flower heads of lavender blossom, it can be harvested. The best harvest time was from full bloom to last bloom. The first crop is usually from late June to mid July, and the second crop is from late September to early October. When harvesting, cut 10 cm from the bottom of the flower ear. Should be less with pedicels, no green leaves, old branches, weeds, etc.
(10) Timely soil burying and winter irrigation
Winter irrigation is usually from late October to early November. It is necessary to irrigate timely. The amount of irrigation per mu is 70-80 cubic meters. Before winter, the plant must be buried in soil, which has the function of preserving moisture and preventing cold
