The upper limit of the irrigation system could reach Yixun tuntian in Western Han Dynasty, and the lower limit could end when Tubo withdrew from western regions. The existence time of the ancient city of Milan is consistent with the complete irrigation system around the ancient city of Milan. Some people speculate that the diversion of the old road of the East Branch of the Milan River led to the abandonment of the irrigation system and eventually the abandonment of the ancient city of Milan.
