history
On October 8, 1921, Korean nationalist Jiang Xun, who believed in Confucianism, founded Dacheng middle school. At the beginning of the school, there were five teachers and more than 50 Korean students, whose basic teaching contents were "four books and five classics" and Confucius' feudal ethics.
In 1922, Li linqiu and Li Zhouhe, the early Korean Communists, went to Dacheng middle school to teach, organized the progressive students of Dacheng middle school and Dongxing middle school, and established the "Restoration Society" of Marxism Leninism research group. At first, there were only more than 10 members in the group. Later, students from Enzhen school joined the group enthusiastically, with more than 30 members. They used evenings and Sundays to guide students to study Marxist Leninist theory.
In March 1923, Jin Siguo, an early Korean Communist, came to Longjing from the coastal state of the Soviet Union and founded "Toyo College" with Fang Hanmin, Jin Zhengqi, Li Mingxi and other young students in Dacheng middle school. With the first graduates of Dacheng middle school as the backbone, they recruited more than 70 young students and taught in two classrooms on the first floor of Dacheng middle school. The college also set up a "special department of Communist propaganda department" to actively carry out propaganda activities. The main contents of the lectures are the theory of the October Revolution in Russia, the history of the revolutionary struggle of the Communist Parties in various countries, and the program of the liberation struggle of the colonial and semi colonial people. In August of the same year, "Toyo College" was sealed up by the Japanese Consulate General in Longjing.
In April 1923, the students of Dacheng middle school opposed Confucius and Mencius, advocated democracy and new science, held a four-day strike, removed Confucius' memorial tablet, drove away Lin Fengkui, a member and director of Confucius church, and made the school get rid of the shackles of Confucianism. At the same time, English, Chinese and Japanese classes were added. Progressives among the students take advantage of winter and summer holidays to run night schools for farmers in rural areas. On the one hand, they eliminate illiteracy and on the other hand, they propagate Marxism Leninism. In May 1928, students from Dacheng middle school and Dongxing middle school presided over a speech to commemorate the May 30th massacre in Shanghai, which was jointly organized by the labor union, the farmers' League and the General Youth League. At the meeting, the crimes of Japanese imperialism were denounced, and demonstrations were held after the meeting.
In the second half of 1928, Zhou Dongjiao, Secretary of the CPC Dongman District Committee, was a Chinese teacher in Dacheng middle school. He taught Marxism Leninism and the history of Chinese revolution in class and cultivated a group of revolutionaries. In October 1930, the CPC Longjing Dacheng branch was established in Dacheng middle school, with secretary Lin Jiejia, organization member Jin Yufeng and propaganda member Cui Xuefeng. The Japanese imperialists used various means to destroy the revolutionary activities of Dacheng middle school, but the progressive teachers and students united and fought against the Japanese aggressors tit for tat.
On September 16, 1946, Dacheng middle school and other five middle schools in Longjing were merged into Longjing middle school in Jilin Province.
On May 27, 1988, it was listed as a state-level cultural relic protection unit by the people's Government of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture. It was renovated and well preserved in 1994.
