Xinfan East Lake

Located in Xinfan Town, Xindu District, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, Xinfan East Lake is a key cultural relic protection unit in Sichuan Province. It was excavated by Li Deyu, the famous Prime Minister of Tang Dynasty, when he was the magistrate of Xinfan county. It is one of the two classical cultural gardens of Tang Dynasty that can be examined in China. It covers an area of 18000 square meters and covers about one third of the water surface. Exquisite and chic, careful layout, elegant charm. It has almost all the architectural forms and techniques of expression in Chinese classical gardens. There are more than 20 Qing Dynasty buildings in the park, such as pavilions and pavilions, which are hidden among the ancient trees and flowers. The park has beautiful landscape and is known as "famous garden of ancient Shu" since ancient times.

Huaili hall, the main building of Xinfan East Lake, was built in the Song Dynasty and rebuilt in the Tongzhi period of Qing Dynasty. It has a bungalow with green tiles, a cloister, a plain outside and a beautiful inside. It is a place for the people of Shu to cherish the memory of Tang Xiande and Yugong's historical achievements in "conquering dangerous areas, protecting the territory and the people", safeguarding national unity, and "rejuvenating the Huichang administration". There are also "Sifei Temple" in memory of four generations and six sages in late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, and "Sanxian hall" in memory of Li Deyu in Tang Dynasty, Wang Yi in Song Dynasty (the father of Wang Anshi) and Mei Zhi in Song Dynasty, which shows the characteristics of the East Lake Cultural Park.

For more than a thousand years, the East Lake has been famous for its collection of famous scholars in Western Sichuan, leaving behind a large number of poems, plaques, couplets, calligraphy and painting works. A large number of famous calligraphic and painting works are collected in the forest of Steles in East Lake, which has very important historical and artistic value.
