Longao River Scenic Area

Longao River scenic spot is located in cengong County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province. It is located at the junction of Hunan and Guizhou provinces in the east gate of Guizhou Province. It is adjacent to Yuping in the East, Zhenyuan in the south, Shiqian in the west, Jiangkou county and Tongren City in the north. It is 402 km away from Guiyang, the provincial capital. It can reach Fanjing Mountain subtropical forest reserve through cengong Jiangkou highway Road to Wuyang River National Scenic Area, the distance is 110 km and 80 km respectively, and through the Hunan Guizhou railway, 320 National Road to contact with all parts of the country.

The Longao River scenic area is a Canyon Scenic Area with natural mountains, water, forests and waterfalls as the main parts, with the Longao River as the spatial connection zone and the ridges on both sides of the river as the boundary. It covers an area of 20.38 square kilometers, including 19 scenic spots. Longao River scenic area covers an area of 364 square kilometers, accounting for 24.6% of the total area of the county. Among them, there are 208 square kilometers of Longao River, 148 square kilometers of Longjiang River, 4 square kilometers of zhongmuzhao ancient manor site and 4 square kilometers of Wanfo corridor cave. Subtropical karst vegetation scenery integrates Canyon, cave, water body and waterfall. Ancient trees and famous trees still exist, cultural relics and historic sites are rich and colorful, ethnic customs have a long history, and are well-known at home and abroad. Longao River scenic spot is divided into one scenic spot and two independent scenic spots.

The Longao River scenic area is rich in natural scenery and cultural landscape. Around the canyon river village houses, the scenic resources with high tourism value are formed, mainly concentrated in the two parts of Longao River and Longjiang River in the county.
