mountain towering into the sky
Motianling is located at the junction of Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces. Micang mountain is the western part of Daba Mountain, and the west of Micang mountain connects with Motianling. Motianling is located at the junction of Wen County in the south of Gansu Province and Qingchuan County in the north of Sichuan Province. Passing through Motianling is the famous "Yinping ancient road". The ancient Yinping road has been a dangerous and rugged road since ancient times, so in addition to the local farmers, it was only used for the need of war. In the Ming Dynasty, general Fu Youde led the Red Army through this road. During the long march of the Red Army, Li Xiannian led the Red Army through this road. Later, the people's Liberation Army went through this road in Qingchuan. The most dangerous place on Yinping road is Motianling. It has a gentle slope in the northwest and a steep cliff in the south, so there is no way to go. In those days, Deng AI went down from here to defend the Motianling mountain and plunge into Jiangyou pass to destroy Shu. Now Lingnan has opened up a zigzag path, which is called "Jiudaoguai" by local people.
ecological environment
On Motianling, 2730 meters above sea level, there is a big lawn with special grass. Every summer, red flowers bloom everywhere, and the mountain wind blows by, like a huge and bright red flag fluttering on the mountain. Some people say that the grassland is full of red flowers. Since the red army fought here, the revolutionary martyrs' blood has dyed the land red, and the grass is full of red flowers. Therefore, the local farmers named this lawn "Honghua Grassland" and actually called it "dazhuyazi", which shows the people's nostalgia and gratitude for the Red Army.
Historical records
There used to be Zhuge Liang's Kongming temple on the top of Motianling. Due to years of disrepair, the temple has collapsed and only walls remain. The stele of Kongming in those years was also erected here. According to the annals of Long'an Prefecture, "there is a stele of Kongming in Motianling now, and the handwriting is indecipherable."
Chapter 117 of the romance of the Three Kingdoms says: "Deng AI, Deng Zhong, two thousand soldiers and the pioneers have all arrived at Motianling. Just now I was reorganizing my armor and equipment. Suddenly I saw a stone tablet beside the road, engraved with the inscription "prime minister Zhuge Liang". His article says: "the two fires started to rise, and some people went over it. The two scholars competed and soon died.". Of course, the author of the romance of the Three Kingdoms deified Zhuge Liang. However, Zhuge Liang was an outstanding strategist in history. He might have foreseen the possibility of Wei army attacking Shu from Yinping road and setting up a garrison in Motianling, which was the manifestation of Zhuge Liang's genius.
Li Xiannian saw this monument when he fought here in 1935, which is recorded in his memoirs. Today, although there is no stele left, the stele of Ming Dynasty has experienced thousands of years of wind and rain on the top of the mountain. Turn around nine times and cross the Motianling bridge to reach the Nantianmen gate, which is surrounded by mountains, deep valleys, flowing water, birds and cicadas. There is a stone wall under the South Gate of heaven, like a screen mirror. According to the old people, on this stone wall, Deng AI once wrote the four characters "Deng AI has been here". As long as the wall is washed with water, the handwriting will appear, and the water is dry and the word is hidden. Unfortunately, part of it was destroyed when the road was built.
There are also many relics left by Deng AI along the ancient Yinping Road, such as the grindstone of Deng AI's knife sharpening, the Yinhe mountain of seal, the shoe earth mountain of Deng AI's soldiers shaking their shoes when they rest, the Luoyi ditch where Deng AI lost his clothes, and the archery platform where Deng AI trained. Almost every place has traces that can be explored, as well as many legends.
