Xitai mountain is located in the hinterland of Funiu Mountain, 52 kilometers south of Ruyang County, Henan Province. It is 120 kilometers away from Luoyang and 240 kilometers away from Zhengzhou. It is adjacent to Lianhuo, nanluo and Erguang expressways. Linmu road passes through the area with convenient transportation. It can be called the back garden of Zhengzhou and Luoyang and the north gate of Funiu Mountain tourism.

historical origin

Mount Xitai is the mountain of culture, the mountain of civilization, and the cradle of Chinese culture. As early as 2200 years ago in the spring and Autumn period, Han Feizi, a famous statesman and thinker, wrote in his ten passes of Han Feizi: "in the past, the Yellow Emperor combined with ghosts and gods on Mount Xitai, drove an elephant chariot and six dragons, ruled by Chi you, swept the wind and rain. Tiger and wolf are in the front, ghosts and gods are in the back, the snake is on the ground, the Phoenix is covered, and the ghosts and gods are combined as "qingjiao". Shi Ben, compiled by historians of pre Qin Dynasty, also records in Shi Xing Pian that "the name of Nu Wa, the emperor granted her to the sun of Ru Shui, and later became the emperor, so she was called the empress.".

The name of Xitai mountain originated from the middle ages. According to "Lushan county annals" and other historical records, after King Wu destroyed the Shang Dynasty, he was enfeoffed as a vassal, and Boqin, the eldest son of Duke Zhou, was enfeoffed as a vassal in Luyang. In order to fulfill the mission of pursuing good fortune in Thailand, he designated a section of the original Kongtong mountain as a sacred mountain to worship the ancestors of heaven and earth, and named it "Mount Tai", where he made a vow every year. Later, King Cheng ascended the throne. Duke Zhou was ordered to March eastward, and Boqin followed the war. After zhanyan (now Qufu in Shandong Province), Boqin was granted the title of Duke Lu by King Cheng. The capital was moved to Qufu, known as Donglu in history, and Daizong was named Dongyue Mount Tai. In this way, the original Luyang was changed to "Xilu", and the original "Mount Tai" was also called "Mount Xi Tai".

Famous scenic spot

Nuwa Palace
