Longtan Bay Tourist Resort is located in Longtan Town, Xiuyan Manchu Autonomous County, at the junction of Anshan, Yingkou and Dalian, 30 kilometers away from Xiuyan County. It is said that during the reign of Emperor Qianlong, a villager sat on the mountain and watched the lake after sunset and rain. Suddenly, he saw the fog rising and the colorful clouds winding around him. It was like playing in the water in the Canglong lake, so he named it "Longtan bay". Covering an area of 17.8 square kilometers, the resort is now a provincial forest park, a provincial nature reserve and a national AAA tourist resort. Longtan tourist resort is rich in animal and plant species, and the vegetation is well preserved. The forest coverage rate is more than 95%. Coniferous forest and broad-leaved forest blend in the forest, especially Magnolia tiannv. There are more than 1200 kinds of herbs in Longtan mountain, including 300 kinds of wild herbs and 80 kinds of wild vegetables. The forest is rich in more than 30 kinds of precious fungi such as Hericium erinaceus. The whole resort is a famous tourist resort suitable for scientific research, health preservation, leisure and summer.

Longtanwan nature reserve is located in the south of Liaoning Province, adjacent to Yingkou City on the left and Dalian City on the south. It is the junction of Anshan, Yingkou and Dalian, Xiuyan, Gaizhou and Zhuanghe, with a total area of 4626 hectares. The central area of longtanwan mountain forest covers an area of 1591.8 hectares, which is one of the areas with the best forest species, forest vegetation and forest environment in southern Liaoning. There are 16 kinds of national and provincial key protected plants, 74 kinds of Provincial Wildlife, and many natural landscapes, cultural relics and historic sites.

Main attractions

There are many scenic spots in Longtan Bay nature reserve, such as Yaowang Valley, Qinglong gorge, Longxiao waterfall, Longwang temple, Wanghai peak, Lanma wall, hero stone, Longxi and so on. The surface of Longtan is peach shaped. In the middle of the pool, there is a huge stone bottom. The upstream water flows into Taodi from the stone crevice of the gorge. After rotating in the pool, it flows out at the top of the peach. The depth of the pool is 8.2 meters. The water is clear and sweet. It contains a variety of beneficial elements for human body. The surface of the pool is more than 60 square meters and the water is nearly 500 cubic meters. The East and west sides of the pool are stacked into cliffs, 15 meters high. There are nine sons in Longsheng, nine pools in the scenic area, all of which have good landscapes and stories.

There are many naturally formed bays in Longtan Bay. It is said that in ancient times, seven fairies came down to earth, and one person took a bath in one bay; Longzhao Bay, shaped like dragon claw; lovers Bay, beside the Bay, there is a 2-meter-wide, 3-meter-long flat beach It is said that in the early years, a young woman took a bath in the Bay, her clothes were on the flat stone, and she was blown away by the strong wind, so the girl couldn't go ashore. In an emergency, a scholar passed by, took off her coat and put her face on the flat stone. The girl put on her clothes, and then she became husband and wife. Longwei Bay is named after the shape of a giant dragon swinging its tail.

Longtan Bay is the most wonderful landscape in shibawan. The surface of Longtan is peach shaped. In the middle of the pool, there is a huge stone bottom. It is used for cooking tea, which is fragrant and delicious. The East and west sides are stacked with rocks, more than 15 meters high. It seems that the two doors are opposite each other, covering the deep pool. It's very spectacular.

Legend of Longtan

A long time ago, it was a beautiful place with dense forests, fresh air and pleasant scenery. In the depth of the forest, there was a small river less than Zhang wide. On weekdays, the river was gurgling, and the cheerful waves were singing, which attracted the lovely roe deer, black bear, pheasant, hare, squirrel, and countless colorful birds.

In this year, the 13th Prince of the Dragon King of the East China Sea was still in his infancy. He came here on a whim and saw birds and animals playing freely in the mountains. He was very jealous. With a little skill, the little dragon king was covered with dark clouds and pouring rain in an instant. The torrent roared and scoured along the river, making a big gap in the forest. Rocks were exposed on both sides, and a deep pool was formed under the rocks. After the heavy rain and mountain torrents, the forest was in a mess. The big trees are all over the place, the rocks are all over the river, and the little animals are missing. The houses in the village at the foot of the mountain were also washed down by the mountain torrents. People looked at their homes with grief and indignation, and had no choice but to vent their anger to heaven! The mountain god and the land here saw the destruction of the forest and the village. They were very angry and told the little dragon king to Guanyin Bodhisattva. When Bodhisattva Guanyin heard this, he immediately summoned the Dragon King of the East China Sea. He denounced his failure to teach his son and accused him of punishing his rebellious son. In order to punish him, the Dragon King of the East China Sea demoted the 13 princes to the deep pool where he had done evil, and then returned to the Dragon Court after he repented. Since then, the mountain forest has returned to its former hustle and bustle. Later, people learned that little dragon king was demoted here, so they named this pool "Longtan". Many years later, Bruce Lee's "prison term" is over, and he repents of his fault, vows that he will benefit the people in the future, and it's time for him to return to Longting. After receiving his father's instructions, Bruce Lee, regardless of packing, rose from the deep pool At the foot of the mountain, the people in the village suddenly saw the fog rising and rolling on the mountain, and the colorful clouds around it. A white dragon was flying in the air. Curious, the villagers ran to the side of the pool on the mountain. The pool water was still rolling, just like a pot spilling out of the pool, flushing out a beautiful bay downstream. People were elated and rushed to tell each other. Later, the villagers named the pond "Longtan bay" and their own village "Longtan Village". As time goes by, many years later, the weather in Longtan Village is good and the villagers are well fed. Besides food and clothing, people often sit around and recite the story of Little Dragon King and Guanyin Bodhisattva. We decided to build a little dragon king temple, praying and praying that little dragon king could benefit them. It's really strange to say that for many years, as long as there is a drought, villagers take their children with them, take incense and tributes, and come to the Dragon King Temple beside the pool to burn incense and pray. Little Dragon King almost saw the incense of prayer in the world. He knew that it was people who asked for it. Little Dragon King was always able to comply with the public opinion. He really responded to every request. When Bodhisattva Guanyin learned about this, he often visited Longtan bay to listen to the villagers about the contribution of King Bruce Lee to the people. For this reason, Guanyin Bodhisattva began to play the Jade Emperor and rewarded the Little Dragon King heavily. Since then, Longtan Bay has become more beautiful and the villagers live and work in peace and contentment.

Tourism information

From the north of Shenyang and Anshan, self driving tourists travel southward from Shenhai Expressway (G15) to Danxi Expressway to Xiuyan station, follow Zhangzhuang highway southward, merge into Datong line, and go directly to the scenic spot through Longtan town;

In Yingkou City, self driving tourists travel northward from Shenhai Expressway (G15) to Xiuyan direction of Danxi expressway. At Xiuyan entrance and exit station, they join into Datong line along southbound Zhangzhuang highway and pass Longtan town to Shanmen of scenic spot;

In Xiuyan County, self driving tourists choose the direction to Qianying Town, which is merged into Longtan town of Datong line through Qianying town to the scenic spot;

For self driving tour in Dalian City, you can choose Danda Expressway to Zhuanghe in and out station, provincial highway Zhangzhuang highway (S203) to go north through Xuling, Yingnahe Reservoir and Xindian town to Datong line, and turn left along Datong line to the scenic spot.
