Li Qiushi memorial hall is located in the county seat of Huanren Manchu Autonomous County. It is the education base of leading cadres' Party spirit in Benxi City, the moral education base of college students in Dalian Medical University, the education base of health system cadres in Liaoning Province, and the ideological and moral education base of teenagers in Liaoning Province.

Li Qiushi Memorial

In 2006, it was awarded the glorious title of "Leifeng" of Benxi City, and in 2009, it was awarded the patriotic education base of Liaoning Province.

The total investment of the memorial is more than 6 million yuan, covering an area of 23060.24 square meters and a total construction area of 3001.44 square meters. The main hall is Li Qiushi memorial hall, and there are two auxiliary halls, namely the exhibition hall of historical heroes and the exhibition hall of historical relics of wunushan mountain city (the hall has moved out). Among them, Li Qiushi Memorial Hall covers an area of 771.46 square meters, with two exhibition halls. Taking Li Qiushi's life story as the vein, it displays 150 pictures, 202 objects and two restoration scenes, which introduces in detail some of Li Qiushi's vivid and touching advanced deeds and noble qualities. The exhibition hall of historical heroes covers an area of 385.72 square meters, displaying 58 pictures and 86 objects of 16 historical and heroic figures. It shows that Li Qiushi is a model figure growing up in Huanren, a land of outstanding people and numerous heroes. In addition, the memorial hall also has a multi-functional lecture hall, two temporary exhibition rooms and a temporary display cabinet, which regularly broadcast some multimedia images about Li Qiushi's advanced deeds and Huanren's history, and display some calligraphy and painting works and books praising Li Qiushi's spirit and Huanren's history. The memorial hall is composed of two parts: the East and the West are connected by the ring corridor in the north, and the overall layout is encircling. The shape of the memorial hall is square sloping roof, reflecting the architectural style of Manchu. In the middle is the central square, in which there is a fish shaped River, which reflects the cultural characteristics of Huanren County as a Bagua city. An artificial waterfall is built on the hillside in the East, which makes the whole building full of vitality and spirituality. A large number of flowers and trees are planted around the memorial hall, striving for harmony and beauty between the park and the building.

Li Qiushi's deeds

Before his death, Comrade Li Qiushi was Secretary of the general Party branch and President of the people's Hospital of Huanren Manchu Autonomous County, and deputy director of the County Health Bureau. On December 29, 1999, he died of heart attack due to overwork. He was 52 years old. Before his death, Li Qiushi was the seventh party representative and the seventh and Eighth National People's Congress deputy of Liaoning Province. He has won the honorary titles of advanced worker, labor model, excellent Communist Party member, March 8th red flag bearer and excellent rural medical worker at provincial, municipal and county levels for more than 90 times. In 1992, he won the honorary title of advanced individual of national health system.

After Li Qiushi's death, the CPC Huanren County Committee, Benxi Municipal Committee and Liaoning Provincial Committee made decisions respectively, calling on the people of the whole county, the whole city and the whole province to learn from Comrade Li Qiushi, a good cadre of the party, a good doctor of the people and a model Communist Party member. On June 21, 2000, the Liaoning provincial Party committee of the Communist Party of China solemnly held a naming conference and awarded Comrade Li Qiushi the glorious title of "model Communist Party member". During this period, Wen Shizhen, former Secretary of the provincial Party committee, led the investigation team to Huanren to visit the places where Li Qiushi worked and lived before he died. He personally presided over a forum and wrote an inscription for Li Qiushi, calling her "a model for practicing the" Three Represents "and a model for the people of the whole province to learn from.". The CPC Huanren County Committee also formed a report group on Li Qiushi's advanced deeds to make a tour report in the whole province. An activity to learn from Comrade Li Qiushi has been widely carried out in Liaoning and Shenyang. The spirit of Qiushi is encouraging the party members, cadres and masses of the whole province to actively participate in the great practice of accelerating the construction of Liaoning's old industrial base and new socialist countryside.

The origin of the Museum

In order to actively respond to the call of the provincial Party committee and the municipal Party committee and continuously carry forward the spirit of Qiushi, the CPC Huanren County Party committee, on the basis of building the exhibition hall of Li Qiushi's advanced deeds, should meet the strong demand of the masses of the whole county, after the county Party committee's study and decision, and after reporting to the municipal Party Committee for approval, began to build the Li Qiushi Memorial Hall in July 2002, and officially opened on August 30, 2003. Li Qiushi memorial hall is not only a patriotic education base for cadres and masses, but also a red tourist attraction in Huanren at the beginning of its opening, which is open to tourists.

Venue construction

In order to give full play to the educational role of the base, under the condition of very tight funds, the memorial hall invested more than 100000 yuan to purchase advanced equipment such as computers, digital cameras, cameras, breast microphones and recorders, which made the educational effect more vivid. In the construction of beautifying the park, it has invested more than 200000 yuan to plant more than 2000 trees, more than 10000 flowers, 500 pots of flowers, more than 2000 ornamental fish and more than 6000 square meters of lawn. With an investment of 100000 yuan, more than 1200 square meters of black pavement will be paved. With an investment of 200000 yuan, a white marble statue of Li Qiushi and a sculpture with the theme of "Huanren in the new century" were produced.

Educational impact

In order to give full play to the education, guidance and incentive functions of the base, and highlight the principle of social benefits first, the memorial hall has made the regulations of free visit to the audience and primary and secondary school students in the county since its opening. In order to implement the spirit of zxuanfa [2008] No.2 "notice on free opening of national museums and memorials", Li Qiushi memorial hall has been free open to the whole society since January 1, 2008, greatly enhancing the radiation of base education. Since its free opening, there has been an endless stream of visitors to Li Qiushi memorial hall, receiving more than 100000 visitors every year. In order to highlight the effectiveness of education, the relevant units also carried out a variety of effective patriotic education activities in the memorial hall, such as reviewing the oath of joining the Party (league, team), holding the oath of joining the Party (league, team), holding a speech to carry forward the spirit of Qiushi, etc., established and improved the website of Li Qiushi memorial hall, making the educational effect of the base increasingly prominent. Since its opening, Li Qiushi memorial has been actively communicating and coordinating with the County Tourism Bureau, taking it as a red tourist attraction on the tourism routes of the whole county. At the same time, we also contacted with various travel agencies to actively promote Li Qiushi Memorial among tourists to Huan, so that tourists to Huan came to visit the memorial for education. At present, Li Qiushi memorial has received more than 320000 visitors, including more than 100000 before the free opening and more than 220000 after the free opening.
