Red beach, written by Li Mingchun, is a novel about the development of marine industry in New China. "Red Beach" tells: in the early spring of 1968, a group of recruits from Liaoning, Shandong and Shanghai came to the Liugongdao training group of the North Sea fleet of the people's navy. In this humiliating place of Sino Japanese War of 1894-1895, recruits Li Antong, Huang Hai and Changjiang met and became good comrades in arms. Liu gongdao gave them a profound understanding of the past history of the Sino Japanese naval battle of 1894-1895, and realized the true meaning of China's sea power that "if we exercise it, we will survive, if we exercise it, we will die.".
