Scenery introduction
After passing Honeymoon Bay, tourists in the northeast corner scenic spot can arrive at Beiguan Haichao Park, which is of great historical and geographical significance. According to historical records, Beiguan was set up here in the Qing Dynasty, and troops were stationed there. It is an important gateway to Lanyang. Now the remains of Beiguan are no longer seen. What most tourists like to talk about is the strange rocks in the park, which has become a rebellious style .
The coastal topography of Beiguan is most famous for its tofu rock and Shan Fang Shan. Because of the influence of rock quality and differential erosion, these two different landforms are produced, but they also show different characteristics. Many school groups can also take the opportunity to take a field investigation course in Geoscience, which can be called the best living classroom in geology.
Facing Beiguan Haichao park is Guishan Island in the Pacific Ocean. Tourists can consider climbing along the park trail to the highest viewing platform, and then overlooking the Guishan scenery. Or they can enjoy the blue scenery of the sea and sky along the shore. There is also a white Avalokitesvara statue on the cliff facing the sea in the park, which also attracts many tourists to worship and pray here. Originally, it was for nearby residents to pray for a smooth sailing, but now it has become a kind of spiritual dependence. The worshippers are devout and have words in their mouths. As for whether it is effective or not, it is the sincere word that makes the soul.
From April 7, 2007 to the end of September, Beiguan Haichao park also provides free interpretation services at 9:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Through the interpretation of professional commentators, visitors can have a deeper understanding of the reasons for the formation of coastal rocks under the action of wave erosion and the special geological landscape, so that friends who come to the park can not only get on the bus to sleep and urinate, but also gain valuable knowledge to increase the depth and fun of the journey.
