Xuhai village is located in the east of Xuhai village, Mudan village, Pingtung County, next to Xuhai national primary school on County Road 199, facing the Pacific Ocean. Most of the local residents are Paiwan and AMI aborigines, mainly engaged in farming, animal husbandry and fishing. The whole Xuhai village is green with vast Pacific Ocean and abundant Xuhai hot spring.

The hot spring is a weakly alkaline carbonated spring with a temperature of about 43.5 ℃ and a pH value of 8. The spring water gushes out naturally from the ground. The spring is pure in quality. The water is clear, colorless and odorless. It is said that it has curative effect on chronic gastrointestinal diseases, chronic digestive diseases, rheumatism, arthritis and other diseases. It is a hot spring with excellent quality.

The facilities of Xuhai hot spring are just a bathhouse like building, with two public bathrooms separate for men and women. The hot spring here is free for Xuhai villagers. Every evening, the villagers will gather here. If you don't want to take a bath together, you can stagger the time and try to avoid it! However, if you are a foreign tourist, you will charge the cleaning fee for the bathroom cleaning and maintenance in summer vacation and holiday. At present, it can only provide a short rest point.
