Jinghui building

Jinghui building is located in the famous European style street in Chikan Town, just a wall away from Chikan film and television building. It is a famous arcade in Lingnan water town named after Zhang Jinghui, a famous doctor in the Republic of China. It is also the only place to visit and learn about the centennial history of Chikan ancient town. It is a typical Qilou residence in Lingnan ancient town. The building is full of the sense of vicissitudes and historical massiness. When you are in the former residence, you can wear it back to the old days in a trance.

Jinghui Pavilion is the former residence of famous doctor Zhang Jinghui in Chikan town. Zhang Jinghui is a native of muzhou in Xinhui. His father, Zhang chunhuo, went to Canada during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty and set up a small laundry in partnership with others. In 1917, Zhang Chun returned to China for the first time. Shortly after returning to the new society, he built a house and married his wife, giving birth to Zhang Jinghui. Zhang Jinghui studied in Xinhui county at the age of 14. After graduation, he was admitted to Shanghai National Defense Medical College with excellent results. After graduation, he entered the army to practise medicine. After the liberation war, Zhang Jinghui returned to his hometown of Xinhui. In order to live, Zhang Jinghui practices medicine and makes money. Knowing that Chikan's medical environment was good, Zhang Jinghui came to Chikan town. In 1954, Zhang Jinghui bought the house of an overseas Chinese surnamed Guan, which is now the Jinghui building. Jinghuilou is a famous arcade in Lingnan water town, and also the main arcade dwellings in Chikan ancient town. It was named after Zhang Jinghui, a famous doctor in the period of the Republic of China. The building is three stories high, 45 meters long and 5 meters wide. Each floor of the building has double living rooms, double bedrooms, double open stairs, vertical skylight and Bridge patio, which is a typical arcade residence in Lingnan ancient town.
