Wuling Park

It is located at the foot of xifeifeng mountain and the North Bank of Shanxi in Xikou Town, Fenghua City. In 1935, Chiang Kai Shek chose this place to build the garden, which lasted three years. In the garden, there is Guishan, on which there are "kuangguan Pavilion" and "Hanbi Pavilion". There is "Yilan hall" at the foot of the mountain, which is a branch of China hotel. General Feng Yuxiang stayed here in April 1937. There are also Yishuang Pavilion, Mingyuan tower, Maoyi Pavilion, Kangle Pavilion, Hetang bridge, Jinti and other scenic spots in the park. It was bombed by Japanese planes in 1937. From 1988 to 1990, Wuling Park was rebuilt, the gate of the park was newly built, the "Hanbi Pavilion" and "Hepu Fengfeng" were rebuilt, and the Yilan hall, kuangguan Pavilion and the park's paths were renovated. The park takes on a new look.

Introduction to scenic spots

Xikou Wuling park is located at the west end of Sanli long street, adjacent to Shanxi in the South and highway in the north. In 1935, Chiang Kai Shek allocated funds for construction. The park covers an area of more than 100 mu and will be completed in three years. The gate of the park faces east and is made of Wisteria frame. Man made "Yilan hall", "Yishuang Pavilion", "Mingyuan building", "Yuanxi Xiaozhu", "Maoyi Pavilion", "Kangle Pavilion" and other scenic spots are supported by Jindi, Hechi, flower beds, stone bridges, lawns and so on. In February 1940, the park was bombed by Japanese invaders, leaving the park in ruins. In 1988, Fenghua Municipal People's government invested more than 1 million yuan in the redesign and construction. It opened to the outside world in 1990.

Guishan

Wuling park has experienced many vicissitudes and is now basically restored. The commanding height of the park is Guishan, with two pavilions of "kuangguan" and "Hanbi". Looking to the east from the pavilion, you can see the "Wenchang Pavilion" on the turtle head of Wushan mountain. You can see the street view of Xikou, which gives you the feeling of "two pavilions floating on the height of Guishan mountain, and the haze of Wuling Mountain is second to last". In the east of the park, there is a palace style bungalow called "Yilan hall". There is a platform in front of the hall and a moon gate behind it. This used to be the location of Xikou branch of Xuedou Mountain China Travel Agency.

historical event

In August 1945, the White army surrendered. Jiang Jingguo sent a note to the emperor of Japan, pointing out that the Japanese invasion of China had brought serious disaster to his family. His mother Mao Fumei was killed by the Japanese plane, and strongly demanded that the Japanese spy toshihara Hirayama be punished as the main war criminal. The Japanese government had to decide: to shoot toshihara Hirayama. Jiang Jingguo realized his wish of "washing blood with blood".

Between general Feng Yuxiang and Chiang Kai Shek, there was a "Jinlan Babai" relationship. He came to Xikou in April 1937 to attend the funeral of Chiang Kai Shek's elder brother. He was arranged to live in "Yilan hall", leaving a good impression on Wuling park. After Mao Fumei was killed by the attack plane, Jiang Jingguo went back to Xikou to mourn at the end of December of the lunar calendar in 1939. He did not contact with the outside world for peace. On that day, Jiang Jingguo walked into FengHao house. The family were all sad and tearful when they saw him. However, according to the traditional custom, he still presided over the family's old and young people to bid farewell to the old year, processed the sacrifice of "thanking the new year" and ate "New Year's Eve dinner". The next morning, Qiao quietly left Xikou and rushed back to Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. No one would have thought that hirayaro Zhiyuan, who appeared as a transporter, was a Japanese spy. He stayed in the Xikou hotel. When he learned that Jiang Jingguo had come back, he secretly monitored and speculated that Jiang Jingguo must be in his hometown for the Spring Festival. Report to the commander of the Japanese invaders. The Japanese army organized a fleet of planes with Chiang Ching Kuo as the main target. They bombed Xikou on the afternoon of February 10, 1940, the third day of the first lunar month. On that day, several bombers suddenly appeared over Xikou, bombarding Wuling Park and Shangshan village opposite the park, dropping 48 bombs. All of a sudden, smoke everywhere, smoke rising, fog, crying everywhere. More than 130 houses in Shangshan village were razed to the ground, causing heavy casualties. More than 50 houses in Xikou town were destroyed, and the oil of transportation department was blown up and set on fire. Xikou town became a sea of fire. The Japanese thought that Jiang Jingguo lived in the Yilan Hall of Wuling. Therefore, it became the main target of attack. All pavilions, pavilions and flower galleries in the park were destroyed and became scorched earth.

After liberation

After liberation, "Yilan hall" in Wuling Park served as an office of a military academy for people's liberation. The army also built a teaching building to the east of Yilan hall as a military school classroom. When the troops withdrew from gaoxikou, Wuling Park was under the jurisdiction of Xikou forest and fruit farm, and housing and all land were used by Xikou forest and fruit farm. It was not until 1988 that the State Council appropriated funds to rebuild Wuling Park, making a unified plan for the construction of the park and implementing it step by step. Soon, some scenic spots were built in the park, such as "lotus and cattail for wind", "Autumn Moon on Jindi" and "orange corridor". On May 1, 1990, the original appearance of Wuling Park was restored.
