On both sides of the cliffs, the rocks are jagged, the mountains are majestic and dangerous, and the roads are winding. It is a critical road in the southeast of Luoyang, and has always been a place for military strategists.
brief introduction
Xuanyuan pass is also known as "Eighteen plates" because of its winding mountain road. In the morning, the mountains are shrouded with clouds and fog, and pedestrians come and go among them. Looking up from the bottom, it seems that some immortals are riding in the clouds, so it is said that "Xuanyuan gets up early and goes to the clouds.". If you want to see this scene, you can either enter from the southeast of Luoyang or from Xuchang to the north. If you stand at the pass, under the North view pass, you can see the rolling fog waves, clouds and smoke, changing rapidly, and the atmosphere is myriad. Under the cliff of Xuanyuan pass, there is a clear spring, which is called "sword leading spring". Legend has it that Liu Bang, the emperor of the Han Dynasty, led an army to capture Tongguan. When he passed by, he was so sleepy that he couldn't see the dripping water. So Liu Bang pulled out his sword and cleaved to the cliff. As a result, he spurted out a stream of spring water, so he got his name.
