Huayangyan has a long history. The present stone hall was built on the basis of Yuan Dynasty architecture in Ming Dynasty. In Wudang Mountain, there are small buildings in the immortal hermit ruins, which are common in the architectural system of Wudang Mountain. Huayang rock is an example.

Existing cultural relics

Huayangyan is the only self portrait of a famous Taoist in the Yuan Dynasty, Li Mingliang, whose name is haoranzi. The tablet is engraved with his poem. Li Mingliang was a famous Taoist in Wudang Mountain in the middle and late Yuan Dynasty, especially for the construction of Wulong palace. This monument was erected in 1345 A.D., which is of great historical and cultural value.
