Hejing tower
Hejing pagoda is located on the top of a hill in the northeast of manhejing village, 54 kilometers southwest of Jiangcheng County. It is a place of worship for Southern Buddhists. More than 140 years ago, the Hejing pagoda is in Dai language, which means ancestral pagoda. Hejing tower is a four story gourd shaped square tower made of brick and stone. The body of the tower is a brick structure, 7.7 meters high and square diamond. The first floor is square, the second floor is like an inverted copper bell, the third floor is two symmetrical square terraces, the fourth floor is like a four edged vase, the Tasha is gourd shaped, with two sides of round shiny balls and copper flags. The whole tower is coated with gold powder and painted with ethnic patterns. Every year during the water splashing Festival and Buddha worship, there is an endless stream of local Dai and Lao pilgrims.
