Zhongcheng Buddhist temple
Zhongcheng Buddhist temple is located in Nayun ancient town, west of Menglian County, Pu'er City. It is called "wa Gang" in Dai language. It is one of the Buddhist temples with a long history and large scale in Menglian County,
The exquisite Dai Folk gold water murals and gold decoration patterns on the walls of the temple are precious material materials for the study of Dai history, culture, religion and belief. In the Tusi period, Zhongcheng Buddhist temple was a special Buddhist temple for officials living in the ancient city of Nayun.
It was founded in 1272 (1910). The main building of the temple is a triple eaves corridor with six rows of 24 columns. The columns, Fang, Liang, eaves Tan, citron are decorated with gold and painted patterns. There are Sutra cabinets and niches. The Dai Folk Legends and gods are hung around On the inner wall of the banner of story telling, there are Dai People's golden water murals, which are important objects for the study of Dai People's history and culture. The outer column is 6 rows of 24, which is a basin type column base. The head of the column is decorated with colored glass lotus. The outer layer of the partition board of the Buddha Hall is covered with gold and platinum printed pagodas, Buddha statues, peacocks, music and dance, flowers and other exquisite patterns. The roof is covered with hanging tiles.
