Xiyuan nunnery

Xiyuan nunnery is located at the south foot of Mangdang Mountain in the suburb of Yanping District, with a good external environment. It is the core scenic spot of Mangdang Mountain Nature Reserve in Nanping City. The scenery is beautiful and the canyon is quiet. Xiyuan gorge has 18 sceneries, 36 caves and 72 tunes in ancient times, with humid climate and harmonious ecology. There are more than 1500 kinds of plants and dozens of rare animals. Therefore, since the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has been a place for summer vacation and sightseeing, and now it is a provincial scenic spot.

Longde temple, a thousand year old temple, is famous for its Xiyuan nunnery at home and abroad. It is a holy land for pilgrimage and dream praying.

The gate of the scenic spot is 10 minutes' drive from the city. There is a shuttle bus under Yuping bridge to the gate of the scenic spot. It's about 2 km from the gate to Xiyuan temple and 40 minutes' walk.

There are many kinds of beliefs in Xiyuan temple, such as Xiaogong ancestral temple, Guanyin hall, Laojun temple and Jigong temple.
