Tianchengqixia scenic spot is located in Jiangshi nature reserve, xiaojiafang Town, Shaowu, Fujian Province, in the center of green triangle in Northwest Fujian, covering an area of 30 square kilometers. With the combination of primitive ecological environment, fresh air and peculiar Danxia landform, the natural scenery is known as "enlarged bonsai" and "secluded world"

. Tianchengqixia scenic spot is a Danxia and national AAAA scenic spot in China. On February 11, 2005, as a part of Taining World Geopark, it became a World Geopark.

The scenic spot will be open to health care workers and Hubei citizens free of charge from the date of its reopening to December 31, 2020

Development history

On February 11, 2005, the peculiar geological landscape of Tiancheng Qixia scenic area was included in the declaration of Taining World Geopark

To become a World Geopark.

Tianchengqixia scenic spot is one of the key projects launched by Shaowu City. Shaowu municipal Party committee, municipal government and Shanghai dajingtang Industrial Development Co., Ltd. have reached a cooperation agreement and signed a contract as a key tourism project of Fujian Province at the "9.8" investment fair, with a total contract investment of 300 million yuan. As of September 2006, a total of 12 million yuan has been invested in tianchengqixia scenic spot, and the first phase of tourism supporting and infrastructure construction has been basically completed

In early May 2007, the construction of China Orchid Valley project started. The construction site is located in Jiangshi villa scenic spot of Tiancheng Qixia, xiaojiafang town. The total investment of the project is 5 million yuan. The construction projects include horticultural exhibition hall, Liuxiang teahouse, walking path, cliff stone inscriptions, etc. With the joint efforts of the municipal Orchid Association, tianchengqixia scenic spot and xiaojiafang town Party committee and government, more than 10000 orchid varieties have been cultivated

In June 2010, a large number of trees were washed down in the tourism channel and river channel due to the severe disaster of "6.18" flood in Shaowu tianchengqixia scenic area. Shaowu Tourism Bureau, Jiangshi nature reserve and tianchengqixia scenic area have taken the following measures: first, all the work should ensure the safety of personnel; second, the protection area should be responsible for clearing the fallen trees first, and then the scenic area should be responsible for clearing the river, and the cleared trees should be handed over to the protection area for unified management; third, the strategy of clearing the land first, and then the waterway should be adopted

On November 23, 2011, the construction of a direct road to tianchengqixia scenic spot was started from the Heping exit of wushao Expressway according to the national secondary highway standard. The road is a construction project with an investment of more than 20 million yuan to help tianchengqixia scenic spot create a brand. After completion, the scenic spot only takes about 30 minutes to Shaowu

On December 15, 2011, according to the National Tourism Administration, tianchengqixia scenic spot was rated as a national 4A scenic spot

Because tianchengqixia has the ecological conditions to produce rock tea, Shaowu City has set up Shizeng maoke farmers' professional cooperative to manage the tea garden and plant oolong tea varieties in the soil between the rocks. From 2013 to 2014, the Municipal Bureau of agriculture arranged a special fund of 380000 Yuan for the modern tea industry project to subsidize the construction of ecological tea garden and clean transformation of tea primary processing. 370 roadside trees, 1000 shelterbelts, 50 mu of fixed plants such as Paspalum notatum and 110 mu of green manure such as cassia rotundifolia were planted in the tea garden, covering an area of 223 mu, so as to further improve the ecological environment of the tea garden. A 500 M2 steel tea primary clean processing plant was built, which improved the tea processing capacity

Tianchengqixia scenic area is a faulted basin. In rainy season, the water flows down with stones and silt, and deposits red rock stratum dominated by massive glutenite. After the Paleogene of 65 million years ago, the crust of the Tiancheng Rock Scenic Area began to rise, and the rock layers were cut by faults. After tens of millions of years of water erosion and rain, the red rock layers became the present natural scenery

There are 100 species of pteridophytes, 800 species of seed plants, 97 species of fungi and 275 species of ornamental plants with development value. Among them, Torreya grandis, Keteleeria fortunei, Cinnamomum camphora, Taxus chinensis and Emmenopterys henryi are eight rare tree species under state protection. There are dozens of mammals, more than 100 kinds of birds and 728 kinds of insects in the area

Zero Of The World

Heaven and earth are located on the hillside of Tiancheng rock. The mountain gate made of danyan was built in the Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty. When visitors come here and shout to the distance, the mountains echo and echo. Looking up, you can see that in an irregular oval hole, there are two stones in the shape of shoes. Under the sunlight, they are like a pair of dry shoes, so they are called "immortal dry shoes".

the First Pass Under Heaven

The world's first pass was built in the Qing Dynasty. On the way to tianchengyanlu, it was built between two cliffs and covered with green moss and wild rattan, which was strict and simple. Both ends of the steep mountains, lush trees, known as "the world's first pass.".

Jiguanshan

Jiguan mountain, also known as Jigong Mountain, is named for its purplish red appearance, straight and beautiful shape, such as Jiguan. On the cliffs of Jiguan mountain, there are verdant trees all year round.

Sister peak

From afar, the two Danfeng peaks are lush with green trees, just like a girl's hair. The Red Cliff looks like a girl's peach cheek, so it is called sister peak

A line between male and female

The unique landscape of tianchengqi gorge is that there are two lines of sky on the same mountain less than 100 meters apart, so it's called the male and female line of sky. When you look up from the bottom, you can see a line of sky light, and you have to walk sideways in the narrow place. Visitors can climb to the top of the mountain from the female to the male.

Xianrentai

It is said that at the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, a poor scholar fell in love with a rich young lady. However, her parents strongly opposed her and expected her to become the number one scholar in high school one day. As a result, her parents forced her to marry a rich child before the scholar won the gold medal. Because of love, the scholar gave up the golden title, and the young lady gave up the honor and wealth. They eloped to tianchengqi gorge and lived together in Xianrentai. After a hundred years, the two lovers were buried on the immortal platform

Jinxi

Jinxi, also known as "ten percent off water", is 8 kilometers long. It is a stream across the hinterland of the scenic spot. It is the essence of the scenic spot. It has 9 curves, 8 of which are turning 180 degrees. The widest part of the canyon is 10 meters, and the narrowest part is 1.53 meters. Eight deep meandering canyons with 180 degrees form a unique landscape.

Pottery making area

The most distinctive feature of tianchengqixia scenic area is the hand-made bowl making technology handed down from generation to generation. It has a history of more than 400 years and preserves the ancient way of making. The most primitive facilities are used from mud mining, mud washing, medium mud to blank making, pattern painting, coloring, glazing and kiln firing. The ancient temples in the scenic spot were built in the Northern Song Dynasty. The "tianchengyan Temple", "shiziyan Temple" and "huishengyan Temple" were all built in the cliff cave. Jiangshi villa site

Jiangshi villa site, also known as "Nanjing hall", is a long abandoned homestead. It is said that a long time ago, there was a local man surnamed Jiang who often went to Nanjing to do business. His parents were old and frail, and could not stand the long-distance shock. This man was a filial son. Therefore, in the present scenic area, he imitated Nanjing government to build a villa and named it "Nanjing hall" for the old people to enjoy. Later, because of the court's treacherous minister's complaint, he said that this man had built a private government to seek rebellion. In order to avoid his misfortune, he demolished "Nanjing hall" Destroyed, changed to "Jiangshi villa", so far in the high stone wall can still clearly see "Jiangshi villa" four characters.
