Zhengshun Temple
Zhengshun temple is the History Museum of Sanming in Fujian Province. It was built in 1233 A.D. and has a history of more than 700 years. Located on the West Bank of Shaxi River and on the north side of Liedong bridge, the temple faces south. It is the earliest and best preserved wooden structure building in Sanming area, facing Qilin mountain park with classical garden style and prosperous business district. Youxi, Yong'an, Nanping, Jiangle, Dehua and other places have built Zhengshun temple, the largest ancestral temple, with a total area of 745 square meters, is also the most famous. Yingchun, Magnolia grandiflora, Fusang, clove, willow, cypress, camphor, osmanthus, bamboo, etc. are planted in the temple. They are colorful and fragrant.
architectural style
It was built in 1233, the sixth year of shaoding in the Southern Song Dynasty. It was built to offer sacrifices to general Xie you of the Song Dynasty. It has been repaired in all dynasties. The plane is rectangular with a construction area of 534 square meters. The main hall is suspended on the top of the mountain, with a mixed wooden structure of lifting beams and crossing buckets. The width of the main hall is 7 rooms, the width of the main hall is 21.13 meters, and the depth of the main hall is 25.29 meters. Inside and outside, the gold pillars are shuttle pillars, and the stone pillar foundation is plain faced and covered basin type, retaining the characteristics of the Song Dynasty. The main existing wooden frames are from the Ming Dynasty, with local characteristics such as Dou Gong, Yang Dun and que ti.
Cultural relics protection
In 1984, Sanming Zhengshun temple cultural relics preservation office was set up to be responsible for the protection and management. In 1996, Fujian Provincial People's government announced it as the fourth batch of provincial cultural relics protection units. On May 25, 2006, Zhengshun temple, as an ancient building of Ming Dynasty, was approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
