Fobao ancient town is located in Hejiang County, Sichuan Province, with a long history. It is 42 kilometers away from Hejiang County, Sichuan Province. It is a historic town, a famous cultural town, a big tourism town, and an important business town at the junction of Sichuan, Guizhou and Chongqing. It was built in the late Yuan Dynasty and the early Ming Dynasty, more than 600 years ago, so it is called Fobao. It is the gateway of the national Fobao forest park.

The ancient town was built at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty. By the end of Ming Dynasty and the beginning of Qing Dynasty, it had become a political, economic and cultural exchange center in the DACAO River Basin. Huilong street in Fobao ancient town is the most intact ancient street in the town. It goes up along Huilong bridge. On both sides of the street paved with big Qingshi, there are one house by one, forming Jiulong lane, Liujia lane, Baoqing lane, chaishi lane and Jishi lane. The street, 450 meters long and 1.5-8.0 meters wide, was the most bustling and prosperous area at that time, with Huilong bridge, three palaces and eight temples, Xizi Pavilion and other ancient buildings. Most of the existing ancient buildings were restored from Qianlong to Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty, mainly including 25 representative buildings such as "three palaces and eight temples". Fobao ancient town is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with three streams and five bridges. The ancient streets and alleys are like an ethereal tunnel of time and space across the moon hill. The serpent is on the Bank of the white stream, zigzagging and fluctuating. It makes people think of the past for thousands of years and sprout an ancient feeling. The ancient dwellings are full of the grandeur of the villa and the beauty of the water town, just like the magnificent folk paintings, which make people travel in all directions and suddenly return to the simple reverie. Carved beams and painted buildings witness the eventful years; cornices and corners bathe in the vicissitudes of life. The unique style of the beautiful landscape blending with the landscape in the old town of Buddha demonstrates the highest realm of harmony between man and nature. Fubao ancient town Huilong Street (Sichuan dialect drama - silly commander shooting site): including Huilong street, main street, bazaar and other ancient buildings to retain complete scenic spots. The Huilong bridge in Fobao ancient town was built in the 20th year of Daoguang. It is 25 meters long, 4 meters wide and 6 meters high. There is a dragon carved in the center of the bridge. There is a sword hanging in the bridge. It spans the White River (Huilong River). The Bridge Street is paved with big Bluestone. The railing is carved with big Bluestone to form a Xieshan style roof. It was the only stone arch bridge in the DACAO river of Fubao at that time.

There are three palaces and Eight Temples in Fubao ancient town, namely Qingyuan palace, Wanshou Palace, Tianhou palace, Wuzu temple, Tudi temple, Zhangye temple, Yuwang temple, Huo temple, dengpeng temple, Wangye temple and Guanyin temple. Most of them are equipped with theatrical buildings, box buildings, patios, plank walls, frames with falcons, carved beams and painted buildings. Except Wangye temple, dengpeng temple and Guanyin Temple are not in Huilong street, the other temples account for 2 / 5 of Huilong street.

Xizi Pavilion in Fobao ancient town is located under a rhubarb horned tree. Although the pavilion is not grand and spectacular, it is also quite simple in the shade. Xizi pavilion was built in the 55th year of Qianlong reign. It has six floors and eight directions. It imitates the eight trigrams and is 8 meters high. Each floor is engraved with a deep relief pattern, which is different from each other. It is the place where "Tianhou Palace" burns money and paper, so it is also called "Ziku", commonly known as "Huaqian stove".

As early as the end of the Qing Dynasty, Fobao snacks were well-known in southern Sichuan and Northern Guizhou, including traditional pastry, dried bean curd, fried Ciba, and bamboo series "panda banquet" with green food such as Qingshui bamboo shoots, yulanpian, bamboo shoots, bamboo fungus, etc. as well as the aroma of Litchi, forest game and plum wine, which let visitors from afar enjoy.
