Xiheigou is 8 kilometers southwest of Balikun county. It has high mountains, long ditches and lush vegetation. It is dark green in warm season. Even if it is covered by heavy snow in winter, pines and cypresses are green and green. It is closely related to the color of ink, so it is named "Heigou".

Geographical features

Heigou mountain is high, the snow cap is shining all the year round, and the glacier is pure white, which is in contrast with black green. The second element of the beauty of Heigou is its dense forest and dense coverage. Even the land is covered by Sabina vulgaris, and there are many exotic flowers and plants everywhere, forming the main distribution of vegetation. Heigou has a long stream, surging and roaring. The xiheigou Hydropower Station diverts water and generates electricity, and the stream climbs up and down the mountain. The combination of natural and artificial is very poetic and picturesque. This is the third element of Heigou scenic spot. There are ice, snow, water and three-dimensional vegetation, which make the air cool and humid. Therefore, it also forms rich terrain precipitation, which is the fourth element of the beauty of Heigou. Even though it is snowing in winter, the valley is still pine color, green forever, full of ditch green, containing a piece of spring, this is one of the eight Balikun scenery "black ditch Tibetan spring". In 1982, a hydropower station was built in Goukou, which added to the beauty of xiheigou.

Function and value

It is particularly worth mentioning that in 1981, duoling, the commander of Zhenxi (military and political chief), engraved a notice on a large woliu stone in the pass to protect nature: "puhaiyao Island, high mountains and long rivers. The pine scenery of Xihe River is the guarantee of spring source. The deer is a kind of animal. You can't hurt it. " The stone tablet plays an important role in protecting the forest, grassland, water source and wildlife in xiheigou.

This is the first inscription on protecting the ecological environment in Xinjiang, which is rare in China at that time.
