Beidou Seven Star well
Beidou Seven Star well is located in Jiangwan scenic area, Jiangwan Town, Wuyuan County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province. Beidou Seven Star well embodies the highest principle of Chinese geomantic omen that "heaven, earth and man are in one". The Liyuan River in the south is in the "s" shape of Taiji map. In the early years of the Northern Song Dynasty, he Lingtong, the national master of the Southern Tang Dynasty, was demoted to live in seclusion in Lingshan, Jiangwan. He had a good relationship with Jiang Wencai, the sixth ancestor of Xiaojiang, and guided the Xiaojiang people to move from zhankeng to yunwan (now Jiangwan). Under his guidance, the ancestors of Xiaojiang used the highest principles of geomantic omen to transform the water environment, architectural layout, street and road direction, and mountain trend of Jiangwan. After the clan moved to yunwan, Ding became more and more prosperous, and the imperial examinations were carried out. Among them, the Beidou Seven Star well in the village was a model for the national master to use geomantic omen. In ancient China, the four directions were "the former Zhuque, the latter Xuanwu, the left Qinglong and the right Baihu", while the terrain of Jiangwan was lower in Xuanwu (houlongshan) and higher in Zhuque (opposite Youshan). Zhuque belonged to fire. That is to say, the fire was more intense in the south, which was a more unfavorable terrain. At that time, he Lingtong thought of digging seven wells in the village, and according to the distribution of the Big Dipper, using the water of the seven wells to suppress the Youshan fire. The distribution of the Big Dipper is like a spoon. Since then, the village has both sufficient water and a spoon to scoop water, and Youshan's fire has been suppressed.
