Wuyuan County Museum, founded in 1953, is a national key Museum and a patriotic education base in Jiangxi Province. It is an important window to reflect the history of Wuyuan. Wuyuan has a profound cultural heritage and is the hometown of culture. Wuyuan people always have the taste of life of advocating beauty and culture. Wuyuan folk culture, based on this, has become a beautiful flower in many regional cultures. Since the middle of Ming Dynasty, the trend of antiques collection in Jiangnan has been very hot. Some people in Wuyuan have bought a large number of antiques, calligraphy and paintings. Today, the Wuyuan County Museum was built.
In September 2018, Wuyuan County Museum was approved as a national second-class Museum by China Museum Association.
Venue features
The old hall is located on the Confucian mountain on the west side of Ziyang Town, Wuyuan County. It is an antique three story building with national characteristics. The first floor of the third floor is a palace like structure with white walls imitating the ancient palace and yellow tiles. The eaves are floating and the exhibition hall covers an area of more than 1000 square meters. The exhibition content in the museum was originally divided into "boutique exhibition room", "Wuyuan ancient architecture exhibition", "inkstone history exhibition" and other parts. In May 2007, it was moved from the original Museum of Confucianism mountain to the current site. It is located in Wengong North Road, Ziyang Town, Wuyuan County. The main body is modern Huizhou architecture with strong local characteristics. The museum area is more than 50000 square meters, and the exhibition hall area is more than 6000 square meters. At present, the exhibition hall has six special exhibition halls, including Wuyuan millennium, tea town beautiful utensils, craft treasures, inkstone national pearl, Ming and Qing Dynasty calligraphy and painting, and contemporary art, which reflect the historical features and cultural allusions of Wuyuan, an ancient Huizhou. With the development of Wuyuan culture and eco-tourism, the number of tourists is increasing in recent years.
Collection
The museum is rich in cultural relics, including stone tools, bronzes, ceramics, copper and iron, jade, lacquerware, gold and silver ware, bone, bamboo and wood carving, Hui ink, inkstone, seal, calligraphy and painting, embroidery and other national treasure level and level I, II and III cultural relics from Shang Dynasty to Qing Dynasty, including nearly 1000 national level III cultural relics and 40 or 50 national level I cultural relics, especially in Tang and Song dynasties Famous inkstones, tomb porcelain of Song Dynasty, calligraphy and painting of Ming and Qing Dynasties, and handicrafts of Ming and Qing Dynasties are the best.
The museum's fine works include Tao Quan in the first year of Yuanxing in the Eastern Han Dynasty, famous porcelain inkstones in the Song Dynasty, gold-plated copper candlestick with flower carving in the Ming Dynasty, jade belt with Python pattern, ink plum painting by Liu Shiru in the Ming Dynasty, Luji's Luyan painting by Lu Ji in the Qing Dynasty, Huangshan painting by Jianjiang in the Qing Dynasty, and masterpieces of calligraphy and painting by Zhu Zhishan, Wen Zhengming, Dong Qichang, Feng Menglong in the Ming Dynasty and Zheng Banqiao in the Qing Dynasty. In addition, hundreds of cultural relics, such as the bronze wash of Han Dynasty, the Jade Fish Pendant of Ming Dynasty, the rhinoceros horn cup of Ming Dynasty, and the cat's eye of Qing Dynasty, are also very precious. Among them, Diancui base screen is a large-scale dental carving screen composed of precious bird feathers; the Ming Dynasty gilded flower carving copper candlestick (also known as Baihua Jinlian torch) is a copper Candlestick, weighing 90 kg and 2 meters high, with exquisite workmanship and beautiful shape. The decoration is composed of 100 peonies, hibiscus and Golden chrysanthemums; the Song Dynasty pottery inkstone used by Zhu Xi is the only one seen in the sea; the large-scale jadeite painting, weighing 300 grams, is also rare treasure.

Traffic routes
It is 150 kilometers from Wuyuan to Quzhou, Zhejiang, 150 kilometers to Shangrao, Jiangxi, 80 kilometers to Jingdezhen and 120 kilometers to Huangshan, Anhui. Tourists from Beijing and Nanjing can get off at Huangshan station of Anhui Jiangxi line and transfer to bus; tourists from Shanghai can get off from Zhejiang Jiangxi line to Quzhou of Zhejiang Province and transfer to bus; tourists from Fujian can get to Jingdezhen by bus. After arriving at Quzhou railway station, you can take a minibus to the coach station for 5 yuan
