Feiyun River Bridge

With a total length of 1721 meters, Feiyunjiang bridge was the largest span prestressed concrete simply supported beam bridge in China at that time. The span of five main spans reached 62 meters, which was the first of its kind in China and even Asia at that time. Feiyunjiang bridge is located in Ruian City, Zhejiang Province. The bridge spans Feiyun River from north to south, with sanshengmen village in Anyang Street on the north bank and Dongfeng Village in Feiyun Street on the south bank.

brief introduction

Feiyun River Bridge, the first bridge on Feiyun River, is the landmark of Ruian. It was officially opened to traffic on January 6, 1989, with 37 holes and 1721 meters in length. It was the largest span prestressed concrete simply supported beam bridge in China at that time, 13 meters in width and two lanes in both directions.

Throat fortress

When it was completed in 1989, the Tianqian of Feiyun River was transformed into a thoroughfare, and the situation changed. This north-south "throat fortress" could not bear the heavy burden, and became the most difficult bridge on Ruian section of national highway 104. "If you travel all over the world, you are most afraid of flying cloud ferry". As an important traffic hub of Zhejiang and Fujian, flying cloud ferry leaves too many memories.

20 years later, the North-South "traffic fortress" was overwhelmed and became the most difficult bridge on Ruian section of national highway 104. Feiyunjiang bridge can not bear the heavy load, and the entrance congestion at both ends is serious, which has become a well-known traffic "bottleneck" on national highway 104.

The original design daily traffic volume of Feiyunjiang bridge is 15000 vehicles. With the development of Ruian economy, the traffic volume has increased sharply to 54000 vehicles. The congestion situation is more obvious in rush hours. The bridge, which can be passed in two minutes, even takes more than an hour in rush hours.

If the highway is closed, the traffic flow will be even greater, which has far exceeded the designed traffic volume of 15000 vehicles.

Feiyunjiang bridge sister Bridge

Feiyun River sister bridge, completed and opened to traffic on June 28, 2011, with a total length of about 1850 meters. The shape of sister bridge is slightly different, and "little sister" is slightly higher, slightly longer and slightly wider than "big sister". The new bridge adopts box girder technology, which has better integrity and higher safety performance than the T-shaped bridge of the old bridge; the pier is integral pier, which is stronger and more beautiful than the separated pier of the old bridge.

On the sister bridge, there are also rows of bird like landscape lights crossing two lines. Originally, the sister bridge was 13.5 meters apart. In order to reflect the "sister heart to heart", 51 sets of modeling landscape lights were installed, which cleverly increased the connection between the two bridges.

On May 29, 2012, the whole project was completed, and the Feiyunjiang sister bridge operated at the same time, forming a "sister bridge" with six lanes.

Flying clouds from east to west, long bridge connecting north and south. From a distance, the Feiyun River sister bridge is like two giant dragons lying on the sparkling river, connecting the northern and southern banks of the Feiyun River.

The Feiyunjiang bridge (the old bridge) of Rui'an national highway 104 has been in operation for more than 20 years and has been overloaded for a long time. It is tested as a class IV Bridge and needs to be closed for overhaul. According to Article 39 of the road traffic safety law of the people's Republic of China, with the approval of Rui'an Municipal People's government, road closure traffic control is implemented during the overhaul of the old bridge (the time starts from July 13, 2011, and the expected construction period is 10 months). Please pass through the new bridge of Feiyun River, drive according to the relevant signs and obey the command of the management personnel.

Future planning

After the reconstruction of Feiyunjiang bridge is completed, the traffic pressure will be relieved. But Feiyun River "sister bridge" in the face of future traffic pressure, still appears very thin.

The comprehensive logistics park on the South Bank of Feiyun River and the industrial development on the south bank will continue to increase the north-south traffic flow. Feiyun River "sister bridge" can only meet the traffic requirements and ease the traffic pressure.

Therefore, the construction of the fifth and sixth bridges is imperative.
