Songji No.3 well is a discovery well in Daqing Oilfield. It was explored in September 1958. It is located next to Yongyue village, Gaotaizi Town, Datong District, Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province. It is managed by No.5 oil production plant No.5 oil mine No.4 team of Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. The footage is 1461.76 meters, and the cumulative production of crude oil is 10100 tons. Songji No.3 well marks the discovery of Gaotaizi oilfield, which is the first foothold for oil exploration in Songliao Basin and contributes to the opening of Songliao oil conference.

In July 1958, the Ministry of petroleum industry reviewed and approved the second five-year plan and the work arrangement for 1959 prepared by Songliao Petroleum Exploration Bureau on the basis of the proposal of chief geologist Zhang Wenzhao, geologist Yang Jiliang and leader of benchmark Well Zhong Qiquan. On September 4, 1958, Zhang Wenzhao and Zhong Qiquan drew up a proposal for well location, which was based on the fact that the area is a uplift area with high resistivity, reflecting the existence of an anticline structure underground. According to the seismic reflection data of Changchun geophysical exploration team of the Ministry of geology, Gaotaizi structure is confirmed to be a trap on the great uplift. On September 24, 1958, Songliao Petroleum Exploration Bureau supplemented the basis for selecting the well location of Songji No.3 well with Songyou Kandi (58) Zi no.0152 document. In October 1958, the location of Songji No.3 well was preliminarily determined by field survey near Gaotaizi town. After that, according to the Gaotaizi structural map of the seismic team of the Geophysical Exploration Brigade in Mingshui County, the original well location was fine tuned. On November 29, 1958, the Ministry of petroleum industry approved No. 333 document that Songji well 3 should be located next to Yongyue village, Gaotaizi Town, Datong District. From the early winter of 1958 to the early spring of 1959, Broder, the Soviet petroleum geological consultant of the Ministry of petroleum industry, visited the Songliao basin for many times in person, and it was sure that the most promising oil and gas reservoir would be found in the Gaotaizi structure. In February 1959, the two departments of petroleum geology jointly held a meeting on petroleum exploration cooperation in Songliao basin. Yu Qiuli, Minister of petroleum industry, and he Changgong, first vice minister of geology, jointly made exploration deployment of division of labor and cooperation.

Under the leadership of Bao Shizhong, the team leader of 32118 drilling team, who undertook the drilling task, moved from well songji-1 to well songji-3, which is located in the east of Renmin Town, anda County, in March 1958, and officially started drilling on April 11, 1959. It is 1461.76m long. The average core recovery rate is 49.1%, in which 4 groups of oil layers were found, and the crude oil was carried out in the process of circulating mud twice from August 21 to 27. Because of the technical equipment and the pursuit of speed, a well deviation of 5-6 degrees occurred in the 845-857 section. In fact, the well depth of 3200m can not be completed according to the original design. On July 20, 1959, the drilling depth was 1050 meters. When drilling the Cretaceous Yaojia formation, drilling was stopped for 202.51 meters and oil-bearing layer was found for 3.15 meters. Milchenko, the Soviet Union's general petroleum geological adviser to the Ministry of petroleum industry, said the well showed very well. Yu Qiuli decided to stop drilling and test production in well songji-3, and under the guidance of cementing expert Peng Zuoyou, well songji-3 was well cemented. The well was completed on August 29, 1959. After shooting the reservoir, kangshien instructed to drain the water in the wellbore with Bailing method to reduce the pressure of the wellbore liquid column. On the morning of September 26, 1959, the liquid level of well Songji No.3 returned to the wellhead and there was a gushing sound. At 16:00, a brown oil flow gushed out from the underground, and the daily crude oil production was 13.02 tons.

In February 1960, the test production under different working systems proved that Songji No.3 well can produce stably for a long time and has industrial exploitation value. The average daily oil production is 14.7 tons. On May 22, 1986, water breakthrough began in the third well of Songji, with an initial water cut of 6.4%. From April 27 to July 25, 1988, salvage operation, downhole investigation and overhaul were organized successively. It was found that the casing below 817.29 meters was broken in many places and could not be repaired and completed. On July 25, 1988, the well was shut in and stopped production.

In 1986, Songji Mitsui was listed as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. On September 26, 1989, the Songji Sanjing monument was completed and cut. Kang Shien inscribed the inscription "discovery well in Daqing Oilfield - Songji Sanjing". On June 25, 2001, it was announced by the State Council as the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. It is one of the most recent cultural relics in China.

The first well in Daqing Oilfield

Songji-3 well is the first discovered well in Daqing Oilfield, but it is not the first well in Daqing Oilfield. The oil and gas exploration in Songliao Basin started in 1955, and the geological survey team of Songliao Petroleum Exploration Bureau of Ministry of Geology and Ministry of petroleum industry in Changchun city invested a large amount of money. Many geological signs of oil and gas generation were found. In 1957, the core drilling benchmark exploration wells were deployed in the central area of Songliao Basin, so as to find out the sedimentary state of the formation as soon as possible and to indicate the direction for searching for oil and gas enrichment areas. In the winter of 1957, the first reference well was located near zhaojiatun, jixinggang town and Xingcun village, anda County, Heilongjiang Province, and named Songji well 1. In the early summer of 1958, the Ministry of petroleum industry dispatched two heavy-duty drilling rigs made by the Soviet Union from Yumen Oilfield and set up two drilling teams, 32115 and 32118, to undertake the task of drilling Songliao benchmark wells. On July 9, 1958, 32118 drilling crew officially started drilling well songji-1, which reached a depth of 1879 meters after more than four months. The material evidence of bedrock uplift unexpectedly appeared in the rock core taken out, indicating that the location of well songji-1 was selected in the wing of Songliao Basin and drilled through the sedimentary strata. In the past year, the drilling depth has reached more than 2300 meters. Due to technical and other reasons, it has not reached the planned depth of 3200 meters, but this depth has passed through six small reservoirs. The source rock, sandstone reservoir and mudstone cap rock are found. When the casing was run to 1800 meters, technical and material failures occurred, so the well was shut down. On March 22, 1959, the well was cemented. At this time, other conditions of the well were normal, but no oil flow was found. In 1963, the watchmen of the drilling crew were all withdrawn. In the 1970s and 1980s, Daqing Petroleum Administration sent professional technicians to retest the well. At present, the well pipe and well platform of Songji No.1 well are in good condition.

On April 17, 1958, the 502 drilling rig of the Ministry of geology drilled oil sand in daliba village, Qianguo banner, Jilin Province, which proved that the Cretaceous strata in Songliao Basin did generate oil.

On August 6, 1958, 32115 drilling crew began to drill well songji-2, which is located at the high point of Denglouku structure. Well songji-2 was finally completed at the depth of 2787.63m on September 15, 1959.
