Shrimp spring

Shrimp spring is located on the North Bank of Youjiang River, 120km northwest of Nanning City, Guangxi Province, at the foot of Xiashan mountain in the west of Pingguo County. Every year, when the night is deep on March and April of the lunar calendar, the shrimp group flows into the spring water through the shallow water at the confluence of Youjiang River and spring water, and no longer appears.

Xiaquan is located on the North Bank of Youjiang River, 120km northwest of Nanning City, Guangxi Province. At the foot of Xiashan mountain in the west of Pingguo County, there is a spring mouth close to the river. The clear spring water flows into Youjiang river. Every year, at the end of the night on March and April of the lunar calendar, dense swarms of shrimps gather in the shallow water above the confluence of the Youjiang River and the spring, scrambling to advance against the water. The shrimp washed down by the spring will charge again and again and march forward bravely. Those prawns who rush to the mouth of the spring swim leisurely into the depth of the spring with the posture of winners, and never appear again.

The peculiar habit of shrimp here is "living in the river and raising in the spring". Youjiang is "Hometown" and shrimp spring is "villa". Local villagers set up a shrimp cage at quankou in the night of the season. After two or three hours of "guarding the cage and waiting for shrimp", they can get more than ten kilograms of "booty" instead of "fishing".
